I love the metaphors here. this is the first I have read Paulo. I agree with what I have read but I am struck by the male pronouns. As a female, artist and theologian, I work hard to eliminate pronouns when writing. I am a painter and fabric collage is my chosen medium right now. I am soon to graduate from seminary. I attended a very progressive seminary and so the pronouns just jumped out at me. I have been working on my last paper for school which is on the Image of God in Humans and again am working against the male or female for representing God. I am sorry to go on so long about this,but from other things that I have read about Paulo today I was just surprised.

how exciting dear Paulo…..”All creative processes, be they in literature, engineering, computing” Thank you for this wonderful piece…..Albert Einstein would say “Knowledge is limited, imagination encirles the world” It is indeed true that great minds think alike and I can completely relate to what you are saying for I am at a point in my career where I am relying on the imaginative part of my brain…..and where more ideas are flowing through like the wind..Have a lovely day

Thank you Paulo!

As an artist I am learning about the periods in which I cannot paint. I hardly think about painting. Then I’ll have a period where I can’t think of anything else and I’ll produce painting after painting in quick succession.

It’s funny how our soul is so exposed in our work. The one I’m doing now is painful. Others have been glorious. You write so eloqently. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings.
