Hi Paulo,

the film project is such an interesting idea. For me the main thing, apart from the goal of bringing the novel to the screen - is the means by which it is being made.

Each filmmaker is working independantly of every other.

This influences not only what is eventually edited together of course, but how each filmmaker must therefore approach their work, ie. how each might interpret and produce their segment in the context of the otherwise unpredictable result.

It means, as a filmmaker, one must devise, or otherwise rediscover ways of filmmaking that have not been done, or have otherwise been "lost" in the evolution of filmmaking.

The need for new/old ideas will work the other way as well.

Although a single editing team will be creating the final work they will be working with material over which they have otherwise had no direct control - and the material itself, having begun life in anticipation of this very thing - will have introduced novel ideas that can't help but challenge/inspire the team in how they assemble the material.

Congratulations on initiating what I believe is a profoundly fascinating way of making a film.

I hope all involved in producing this work will appreciate what this experiment is potentially capable of achieving.
