Never accept things as they are and you will see the fruits of labour that are within reach of every man (and woman). It always helps to have philosopher handy to throw your old faithful cow over the edge? Beautiful.

A few thoughts come to mind.

I think its probably a good idea to make sure you make the most of everything in your life, not be complacent, so as not to need a "tragedy" to shake you up.
