Was reading The Zahir today on my way to work.
This line stood out to me:
"Freedom is not the absence of commitments, but the ability to choose – and commit to – what is best for me"
I’m proud to say that I don’t need you in my life …

That phrase means so much.
While reading The Zahir i came to alot of insights about love. The main insight that I still try to live by every day is connected to the line that you´ve choosen to post.
Avoid people who takes more energy than they give. Spend your time and love with thoose who gives more than they take.
Just finished “Veronika decide morrer” and one line really gave me a insight that made the whole book complete;
“What´s happening”-asked Veronika
“Nothing”-answered Eduard and helped her up.
“More correctly, It´s a wonder, another day to live.”
(the translation is from swedish so it might be different from the english version)
With love,
Ashkan.
