Curious I researched Christina this morning, a search made easy due to her having her own website. I discovered that she has written some truly interesting books and was the muse for Paulo Coelho’s book ‘The Zahir ‘. …

Dearest Paulo..
lol.. Wow i feel silly. I apologise for the misunderstanding. Her husbands name is Paulo as well.. And when she spoke of him she she didn’t use a surname.. And i assumed it was you. Thanks for putting that straight.. I was wondering why you both had different surnames. Lol. Anyway i’m very glad i found her- her work is still very incredible. And i learnt alot from it. Oh and i know you have alot of fiction in your books :)
And i’m sure your wife, whoever she is, is very lovely :)
Thank you for being

Dear Yajna,
Christina Lamb is not my wife. She has the same name as my wife though.
She inspired me in my book The zahir but she’s only a starting point. It’s true that there’s a lot of auto-biographical elements in my book but there’s also a lot of fictional elements.
Love
Paulo

Dearest Paulo
Just one more think- i believe what attracted me to your relationship, was that both of you possess such a strong sense of individuality.
I always remember Kahlil Gibran’s words on marrige, “Fill each other’s cup, but drink not from the same cup.”
I beleive that is so important in a relationship.
Thank you for being

Dearest Paulo,
I did not know anything much about your wife or family- i hadn’t read anything about them, just mainly your biography and your work. I got a bit curious after looking at this article. I read some of the articles Christina wrote, and i read a bit about her life. Sir, she seems is remarkable. She writes absolutely beautifully- her style is completely different to yours. It is real- as in going on right now around us in the world, and its full of emotion- how the wars have effected people. Its based on the battles people face because of the world, your books are more with facing internal battles understanding the world, both are intertwined- Which makes you both so much more expectional together. Sorry I’m rambling on about this- I’m sure you know how she writes :) I just find myself fascinated, and I admire her work. I was amazed to learn she lived in South Africa, i’d love to know about her experiences here and where she lived because with all the crime and poverty and problems, its still my home and i love it. I didn’t realise that so much of her was part of the Zahir. I didn’t realise that there is so much of you life in your books. It’s as though you write your books from the most important chapters in your life. I feel that i know her in some manner, just like i’ve learnt a bit about you. You two are such magnificent characters. So beautiful :) You give me hope in many ways- especially with love. Thank you for that :)
Thank you both for being
Yajna
PS be sure to tell your wife i think she’s brilliant. Its so true that behind every great man there is a woman. :)
