Here I am going through Power Books (a local book shop in the Philippines) and chanced upon a new Paolo Coelho book entitled Witch of Portobello, and found myself wanting to buy it and enjoy the book right there and then.

You know I’ve been reading about this as well and at first I couldn’t quite grasp it. I was going through experiences with dreams coming true, smelling roses, hearing sounds like bells etc and seeing my dreams but will awake and moving/still but in front of my eyes. I started to read copious amounts because at first it was very unnerving and I felt quite emotional like something bad was happening to me and maybe I was losing my mind.
I’ve come to believe that we have guides or maybe its just God that is our guide - but somehow I happened upon books that had answers to my questions (hopefully the correct answers lol).
Paulo’s The Alchemist had sooo many symbols and connections to what I was experiencing it was really a relief and life changing because it confirmed my beliefs - you can’t have too many coincidences in life without there being some other meaning to them. Then I started to read a series of books on Edgar Cayce, The American Prophet. I can’t say that I believe everything that is written in his books, but he also mentions how “mind is the builder, physical is the result”. As I was brought up a Catholic I started to compare what he said with the teachings I’d learnt and I remembered how a saint mentions to be careful of what you think and made me realise that thoughts do have power.
I’ve seen this manifested as well in life as well as Metz has but I think that people have an invisible line of connection to eachother and when we have a thought, depending on the intensity of that thought its like the thought itself causes a vibration moves along that invisible line and reaches another person (like radio waves). Then that person picks up our message understands it and reacts. So in a way its like we are talking to eachother without actually speaking.
That’s why I believe in the power of prayer. The more heartfelt and genuine and strong the emotion behind the prayer the more powerful it becomes, the clearer/stronger the vibration - it connects to other people and some people may be able to do something about your prayer.

I’ve read this book, and found it to be completely different to any of Paolo’s other works.
I really enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone who finds life a spiritual journey.
Here’s a fascinating news story on Paolo - http://www.sanremonews.it/it/internal.php?news_code=51044
