I didn’t get to say this to you when we met in Brussels and so I leave the note on here.
Thank you for taking up the responsibility which comes with this title. I have been having great hopes and couldn’t have imagined that what I had spoken about in a meeting in 2003 would come to be a reality in 2008.
I dont’ know of anyone else who’d be a better choice for this title and who’s more authentic in walking the talk.
I think that politicians could learn a lot from you and I hope that they will learn to be the change they want to see, if I may quote Buddha on this subject.
The things you spoke about during your speech hit right through the very heart of the matter, and once this mindset is being taught in primary schools a lot will have been accomplished.
