Talking with the Devil (by Paulo Coehlo)

The man is admiring the sunset on a beautiful beach, beside his wife, enjoying well-deserved holidays. Everything seems absolutely in place, when all of a sudden, from the bottom of his heart there comes a nice, friendly voice that asks him a difficult question:

“Are you happy?”

I like this question, it is one we all face at times are we happy with everything perfect and in place, ones happiness comes from all areas of one life ,like family and children, having a job, home and food to be thankful for ,BUT one must also make ones self happy and not rely on others to fullfill them, joy, creativity ,passion and contentment ,and knowing thy true self helps if we are authentic ,then it is very simple …have a dreamy passionate love affair with yourself…

This very interesting story about the day on the beach which i just read reminded me of a time a few years ago when i was facing taking a risk _ here is a poem i wrote in 2003

    Falling

Our destiny is in a far land,

    You lead the way.

And god will give us a hand,

But I am scared and so it’s hard to say.

    Where will god lead us?

    Will our inner voices know?

And what in heavens if it were scandalous?

Then the dream would out grow.

For our angles tell us that we’ll fall,

Back down to earth to deny it all.

But heaven knows that you posses

    A tender love and gentleness.

Oh’ god lead me to where I may fall,

As it’s worth the heartbreak than not to have it at all.

Will I regret it at all? What do you think I’d say?

    Oh’ for goodness sake!

It’s what our journey was to undertake.

I find that one must make ones self happy as well as from friends family ,partners and lovers, but i do believe that one can have a dreamy passionate love affair with yourself, your true authentic self…..of course That brings contentment, harmony and best of all peace and order…blessings for the great read I will certainly be paying more attention when I am on the beach, no more daydreaming ..I guess i dont think that much sometimes I am just being…Tania
