A lot of people still see The Alchemist and your other work as bibles to live by. How do you look back on your earlier work? Is it still ‘the truth’ for you or have you moved on and adapted new philosophies?
Alchemy is the art of projecting in this world what you have in the non-material world. Therefore, when you are able to manifest physically something, you get a better picture of your feelings. In the case of a book, most of the time I have a subconscious understanding, but I need to write and concentrate it. I would suggest everybody to write diaries, it helps a lot to solve our own conflicts. Besides that, every book is a different one: I love narratives, but I also love to write to answer some questions I have about myself.

I’ve written diaries or journals for many years, most of the time is just to help myself analyze a situation or to write down my feelings or concerns. My first book came out of reflections I made on my life in a time I was feeling out of control. My goals was to get focused and grab control of my life once more, and I did.
These days I don’t write on journals as much as I should, blogging is quickly taking its place but I’m not sure if this is good or not. What I like most about blogging is getting someone else impression on what I write.
I think that each and everyone of us loved this book.
I did. It helped me a lot, but
someone who grows, who evolves, who seeking,
cannot based his/her believes on just one book,
or more.
These believes come from God, from divine scriptures, from someone’s religion.
Everybody has his/her own soul, mind, and heart, and
if we look inside we’ll find a way we should follow.
Some books even though they’re great, may help - that’s all.
There’s also the most important thing -
someone who’s closed to God, or wants to be, will know - what is wrong and what is right for his/her own growth, or at least can have an idea.
I love Paulo’s books but still they’re cannot be a Bible, just because they’re simply not.
But because of the way they’re written - simple, yet deep and beautiful, they actually open your eyes, your heart and your soul to see - God, Light, Love more clearly.
Thank You, with all my heart for these books
Mr. Paulo,
love
Agnieszka
Self discovery journals are the only way to discover what you like or liked before when you where a child, whether its writting or cutting out pictures and putting them in different envelopes does not matter as long as you are journalling thoughts, quotes , ideas this allows you to find your self ,past ,future, whatever it is ,but diaries are beautiful for they hold the key ! Blessings Tania
