Do you have a mentor or is it all self study?
Yes, I do have a mentor - better saying, I have several mentors: my neighbor, the taxi driver, the stranger that starts a conversation with me and it is not a stranger anymore, or the person that I crossed on the street, or the book that I open by chance, or a music that strikes me at the right moment. My mentors are people that I meet on the course of an ordinary day.

And people who join your blog? tee hee :P
I’m about to go off to the post office to post some items, one of them being another copy of The Alchemist that I’ve bought to give as a gift.
To me you are one of my mentors and I pass your gift on in the hopes that it touches others in the same way.
Love Kathleen xx
So true, Paulo.
We learn from others.

Dearest Paulo..
Absolutely lovely.
Thank you for being.

PS, I liked the part of your old blog that told us who said what last.. Maybe you should look into putting it back. I miss it, and its easier for me to see what people said last and where they commented.
Sometimes I read you all and I agree with what you all say (the truth is that it happens almost everytime) then I feel for just writting messages to all saying that.
Life is full of big and small things and we forget that those are only “sizes” established by somebody else most of the times. There are infinite ways of learning, everything gives something, we just have to be aware and be ourselves to be able to catch it.
Leaf love to you too :)
And to the rest!
that was so cheeky Kathleen :-)
cool
there was a saint here in india sant tukaram was it (?), who used to say he had 24 gurus which included a bird and also a dog !!! existance is our guru / mentor, exitance reveals itself to us thru the people/places/ that come our way, expereinces that we have. it is a question of being the right student and not the right guru !

I agree to yagna’s request, sometiems we don’t have get time to be here all the time, technolgy can help, no ! what was the raionale behingd removing that old format.
So true, the best way to learn is to pay attention to everything around us, whether people, books, music, random experiences and encounters…
when you pay attention to the environment that surrounds you, it gives you a great understanding of the world as a whole and why things are the way they are.
the world is a school and your experiences are the teachers.
Yes the taxi driver is one for me too, the universe gives us mentors to come in contact with every moment,if we are open ,listening and being in the moment we can learn almost anything ! but the student then must apply or learn from this mentor ,its a gift a blessing

sim tenho um mentor….tudo que me rodeia é o meu mentor.
Além das pessoas tb tudo o resto.
eu acredito que faz tudo parte do todo….
Como dizia Álvaro campos:
“Não sou nada,
nunca serei nada.
Não posso querer ser nada.
Á parte disso, tenho em
mim todos os sonhos do
mundo.”
Fine message, good story. When you design a filmstory, then you always need some characters that will help your hero. Every hero has a mentor in a film and in reality, we all can learn from each other. I like that.
