Your answer concerning the problems of poor countries is so simple and yet so true: ‘it has nothing to do with countries, but with souls.’
I live in Romania and my opinion is that it’s such a big prejudice to believe that all Romanian people lack optimism. Like many other countries which are the so-called “poor” and “third-world countries”, there is hope, people are not desperate all the time like the situation is presented in the media too often.
It’s true that there are problems, but who doesn’t have them?
I think that many poor people accept their situation with dignity and they still have their dreams.
It’s more painful to live in a rich country and not to be able to dream anymore than to live in a poor country but to feel the freedom of your dreams.
And one more thing: this year, at Cannes Film Festival, two Romanian movies won important prizes. Taking into consideration the fact that it is said that our film industry is zero nowadays because of the lack of money, they didn’t have a chance.
But, surprisingly, they are the winners! So, even though, some people consider that you have no chance, God doesn’t feel the same way, as in front of God we have the same chances, no matter what social status we have, or colour or GDP.
So, as the director of the awarded movie said, it seems that you don’t need a big budget or famous actors to present a successful story, as people understand a good story anyway; it is the message that counts and if you manage to touch other people’s souls, to make them vibrate at the same time with yours, the mission is accomplished and a miracle happens.
You don’t have to be rich for miracles to find you, you simply should have a strong desire for them to happen.
You cannot buy miracles and peacefulness and joy because you cannot buy God!
If only people could understand that and their lives would be much simpler and more joyful!
