A WOMAN is one I consider A Warrior of the Light. Consider this story showing a Woman’s Intellect:

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap.

Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out.

She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book.

Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, “Good morning, Ma’am.

What are you doing?”

“Reading a book,” she replies, (thinking, Isn’t that obvious?)

“You’re in a Restricted Fishing Area,” he informs her.

“I’m sorry, officer, but I’m not fishing. I’m reading.”

“Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment.”

“I’ll have to take you in and write you up.”

“If you do that, I’ll have to charge you with sexual assault,” says the woman.

“But I haven’t even touched you,” says the game warden.

“That’s true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment.”

“Have a nice day ma’am,” and he left.

Indeed, “Never argue with a woman who reads. It’s likely she can also think.”

Hi Paulo,

I feel a warrior of light is someone who is totally honest, fearless(but realistic and not suicidal!), and a respecter of women–a warrior who does not respect women cannot be a warrior of light.

A warrior of light can adapt to any situation, can carry his pain silently without complaining, is totally loyal, unflinching, passionate, and does not contradict himself.

A warrior of light does not brag about his achievements, and talks to the extent it is necessary. His words are simple but carry tremendous weight, depth, and inspiration. He may be critical at times, but is never critical for the sake of being critical.

And last but not the least…a warrior of light can inspire people, his words are full of POWER.

Hope you don’t mind me quoting from a movie at this point, and I hope I am not taking up too much space in this column!

Words from the movie Braveheart, words of William Wallace, when his men are feeling afraid of fighting. I found these words to be full of power.

“what will you do without freedom? Fight and you may die. Run, and you’ll live, for at least a while….and dying in your bed, many years from now….will you be willing to trade all the days from this day till that…all those years…for just ONE chance…for just ONE chance….to come back here….and tell our enemies….that they make take our lives…but they’ll NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!!!”

Dearest Paulo and friends,

Although all your responses are incredible and uplifting, i find that like love, the definition of a warrior of light has to come only from you. You see, its because its undefined that makes it so beautiful. We strive to be warrior of lights, which by our own definitions, helps us to be what we want to become. By someone completely defining what a warrior of light is, they are inevitably dictating who we should be- which is completely the opposite of what we are aiming for. Our paths are of self discovery and exploration. So if you feel that being a warrior of light means you must be on your path to God, or you have to love completely, than you strive for it and be the best you can be for no one but yourself!
For me i feel being a warrior is simply being true who you are and loving it.
I feel that there is far more than the manual of the warrior of light. Although it is a guide book, its not everything.. Some definitions are best kept defined inside you and learnt or rather, understood through life.

Thank you for being
Yajna

A Warrior of the Light is someone who is always open to learn something different. A Warrior realizes that diffulties in life should cause us to grow and looks for the lesson in these difficult situations. Warriors do what needs to be done in emergency situations and ask questions later. But most of all, Warriors attempt to bring joy and enlightment to all, and thirst for enlightment from others.

A Warrior of Light is an element of light! He is a part of the Universal Spirit and the Universal Spirit is concentrated in him to fulfill his destiny in this worldly life! By order of God, he is lord over clay and death!
When you see a warrior, you won’t notice at the first glance because he is one with the universe. But if you conecentrate, you will see that the universe is reflected in him also, and so, hi is Vast!

Maybe a warrior of the light is also somebody who in some bizarre way is attracted to darkness and suffering. Somebody who makes mistakes and has hurt loved ones. Maybe a warrior of the light crumbles when he hits that same wall again and again. Maybe he’s just human, maybe he is a she, maybe she is me and maybe I am you…

For me a warrior of light is one who lives with authenticity, enthousiasm and awareness. The warrior is a seeker, he is fearless in his every day life, fearless toward himself and fearless toward all that he encounters. The warrior understands that there is work to be done and lives his life in a way that illuminates the space for others.

I think over and above all the warrior of light understands the vitality and power of love and expresses it through every thought, word and action. There is love in all and he seeks to allow that love to express itself in himself and others.

BTW, Paulo, do you really have the time to read all the replies since I do not see your answers to their comments or your question of the week is just an excuse to help people express themselves? If you answer, then that way, people would love to know that you are reading their expressions and learn more simply because they look forward to hearing from you, the leader, even though they may also feel connected to each other.

A warrior of the light is someone who will fight a battle he knows he will loose, becuase it is the right thing to do.

A warrior of the light is someone who loves everyone, even if he is not loved in returned.

A warrior of the light is a searcher of the truth, even if the truth hurts.

A warrior of the light is someone who does the right thing, because it is the right thing today, for no other reason for doing it is needed.

A warrior of light can distinguish between light and darkness.

He/she questions the light and the darkness for answers.

Neither lets the light blind nor the darkness fool him/her.

He/she chooses as his/her weapon the truth and knows the hours of battle.

He/she understands the space between the letters and the silence that is meant to be attended for each word spoken, written or thought.

And most of all does not throw pearls…..

I love everyone’s answer on this. To a person who is a warrior of light, the dream and the fight are their own, and thus each require a unique definition for what they stand for.

I think a warrior of light is someone who fights for a deeper meaning and understanding of everything in the world, and then goes on to share their unique experience and enlightenment with others. They have the courage to be different and stand up for what they believe in, and to free others from narrow ways of thinking with a hope that they can inspire others to become warriors of light and follow their own paths to enlightenment, or to God.

One who first considers the machinery to be broken, but who accepts the challenge to fix it, and thus starts to disassemble everything, analyzing and rearranging every little part, every little detail.

But he is also the one who never looses sight of the forest for its trees, and in examining all the substructures, and comparing their functions and interconnections, by ever increasing the resolution of his looking-glass, ultimately arrives at the conclusion that there is no difference, that the machine was never broken

And so, he starts the hard work of reassembling the machine, the way it should be,

hoping to finish before his time has come.

I find what Juhi and andrea have written to be echoing how I feel about who is a wol.

a wol is some one who consiously or naturally ( uncosniously ?) follows maunal of the wol, a true wol has to write his own manual.

a wol prefers to ‘see’ things for him/herself, does not live by any fixed rules, is like water, can become solid like ice, can flow around this & that and finally does not mind getting evapotared into nothingness.

honestly, i would be looking forward to posts from others on this, some further refinements are possible !!

A warrior of the Light is each and everyone one of us who stays true to our beliefs regardless of the difficulties we face. In darkness, the Warrior of the Light shines brightest. We shall prevail and persevere for all the things we belief in. We understand that every person that is on our path, is there to help us with our journey inwards.

A warrior of light chooses to see things differently, not according to the norms, patterns, conditions charted by society. He is guided by his own inner concience which gives him a transqulent vision. His seeking is inward and he charts his course of action guided by the inner light. His way may be different than that of the world but his inner light guides the warrior on. And of course he his a warrior because he dares to be different.

A warrior of the light struggles and fight against darkness to keep his light aflame and share it with others. He believes that every drop of rain a plant grows. He believes that somewhere in darknest night, a candle glows. He believes that for everyone who goes astray, someone will come to show the way. He believe…

To me, a Warrior of Light is someone who realizes that the path of their jourhey that is life is to seek God who will then reveal their purpose or destiny (or whatever one may want to call it).

I feel that a Warrior of Light is someone that accepts the fact that he or she will never in their life on this earth come to completely understand or percieve God in even the slightest bit – we may know an INFINITE amount about Him but there will always be an INFINITE amount more to learn about Him.

Therefore, the Warrior of Light should never be satisfied with his/her perception and understanding of this most amazing Thing called God.

A Warrior of Light is someone that constantly seeks Godly growth.

People who write inspirational music that moves my soul and gets me through bad times.

There are just so many warriors of the light.

A warrior of the light is someone who is committed to constantly learning about themselves and the universe they live in. A warrior understands that there are challenges in life and welcomes them as an opportunity to grow. A warrior has compassion for every persons current stage in life. A warrior doesn’t feel the need to have any other person believe what he believes about anything. A warrior of the light is someone who fills the world with light (experiences and knowledge) and works towards elimination of ignorance. A warrior is ultimately a healer…
