infatuation as the creation of an image is a wonderful metaphor which sums up perfectly my experience, as when I am infatuated with someone (either through a sexual, emotional or intellectual reaction) I endeavour to think about and dream of them, night and day. Sometimes I know I'm going to far in drawing energy from this image, as if I'd made of it an egregore, and then I'm plagued with guilt. And then, when in the presence of the object of this infatuation, the image in the mind can become a sort of shield, or a barrier between the dream and Earth-bound reality. Sometimes reality bites, but othertimes there is chemistry enough for the human beings to step into the dream so their selves are living and breathing in a heavenly state. Then you see the stars; you experience the enlightenment of God as the mystery of love.

All forces serve to push us forward in the direction that we are heading.

Some experiences we call "bad" and some "good", but they are all needed to push us to our destiny.

Enjoy the "good" times, endure the bad. In retrospect all becomes clear, and we can smile (or indeed laugh) at the different twists of our journey.

That's true most of the time we create that notion about someone we admire to escape from the fact that they won't be part of us ...

ORIGIN mid 16th cent.: from Latin infatuat- ‘made foolish,’ from the verb infatuare, from in- ‘into’ + fatuus ‘foolish.’

I sometimes feel so "intensely" that I fear I might go mad > well that's what I call 'infatuation', and I experience it as something playful. I can get an enormous kick from it, the wonderful ephemera, the punch in the stomach, the adreneline...

... and love might result but that's not important. It's the moment that counts.

Love or infatuation or whatever it is... Just temporary, Love is a habit, Love is friendship gone wrong, Love is admiration gone too far. Love needs to be paired with some other adjectives to survive. Love+Patience, Love+Obligation, Love+you name it...

Infatuation is far worse than love because it isn't real. Therefore with one simple fact all "images" can be erased, & laughed at upon reflection. I stay laughing anyway:)hahahahaha!!!
