It is necessary to run risks, follow certain paths and abandon others.
No one can make a choice without feeling fear.

Fear? Houw can we live without (a healthy) fear?
Taking (calculated) risks- chances etc is what keeps our blood running…
Mostly the things we fear hardly ever happen……the things we think we may have under control are the ones that suddenly may surprise us -either bad or good.

Wheter we fear or not….whatever will be will be….so learning to deal with fear and not trying to ignore it….it just is the best way to know ourselves and our limits,,

people often mistake courageous people as people who have no fear when making decisions, but it is very often that they feel fear, but they just dont have a choice about making the decision.

I am in a crossroad.

My previous blog entries, I said I will resign from my present job as a Guidance Counselor and look for a teaching job as a Special Ed teacher. I resigned. I applied. But found out the schools don’t fit my personality… or moreso, my principles in life.

I handed my resignation but I took it back. Not because I feared I won’t be able to find another job (In fact, two schools – a university and a college, contacted me to be a college instructor, but I just declined. It’s not my cup of tea I must say.), but more of my principles once again. I feared I would lose interest in the vocation I have chosen.

Indeed, I am a bit idealistic. I find it hard to leave my present school because for one, the school’s vision-mission support what I too believe in. Secondly, my heart is with the kids I deal with everyday. And a whole lot other reasons I cannot verbally express.

Be brave and feel the fear and do it anyway – once you walk up to the lion he fades away as it is just an illusion ..face it and it will disappear ..so Yes we must take risks and abandon others ..Blessings Tania

To try and make a little history i would like to say that i could be the first irish person to have read birda. it was almost as if i had read the book a thosand times b4. i have had dreams relating to the traditions mentioned towards the stories end. i am not left wondering how the tradition will go on from here,as i already know in my heart. i’m glad that i got to read the story at last as it is my personal story also, but my path was a lonley one and i never had a teacher, that made it difficult 4me

Yes, this is what makes life worth living! Feeling fear is a natural and useful phenomenom, but the more often your get over the less it will embarrasses you.
