Today’s Question by Aart Hilal

Did any childhood experiences have any influence on your decision to write or is it independent of those earlier experiences?

A man is a sum of all his experiences in life. Even if I respect Freud as a philosopher, I don’t think that the key events in life are limited to childhood. We are always living in the present moment, and this is the magic of life. My books reflect my current vision of humankind as a whole and myself as an individual in this gigantic universe.

    I agree,
although, if it wasn’t for the past experiences, we wouldn’t have gotten to this point.
Everything happen for a reason, anytime of our life; to guides us to the present moment.

My experiences have influenced certain stories, but not my overall need to write. That lies along the line of my need to breathe.

The answer given here sums up the core values heading the hypnotherapy/psychotherapy movement in Ireland at present. Through the facilitation of change the client is led through experiences that may be blocking them from their personal legend. The therapy itself enables change to those wishing to change. The mask people wear is drawn away, through relaxation, so as a therapist one is enabled to impact the subconscious mind with positive suggestions. The therapy is brief, like everything in life these days, and the client is left to follow their legend. In short the change is aided by Freud’s type of psychoanalysis and thought provoking suggestion.

Freud was a no-perfect human, and suffered from psychologic blocks, as everyone of us.
His work was nevertheless safety for him. By making, he gave answers to himself; thus to the world.

Though, I don’t agree we are especially rooted in childhood. In real, our nodes are appearing in different places, once, to be unravelled.

Your characters are free to walk and be. Enters the magic, helping to see. In “the witch of Portobello”, Liliana says something like “For us Time don’t exist, only Space”

The way we confront the Sole depends on each one of us. But we often think Time, and no Space; yet forgetting things will not come twice.
At least in this present life, because it can’t be. Or we all think so. Anyway, this is also the magic.

We think everyday’s the same, while the Universe gives us new scenes and eyes, constantly.
I can feel the present moment has possibly no Time, but Space.
Time would be just an education some wanted to push as a pawn, to become a queen. That’s not inevitably our learning.

    Love.

yes. i agree with you. I am a psychology student and i respect Freud’s ideas since he is the founder of Psychonanaysis but there are certain unconscious behavior that we do which can be traced back to our childhood and even with our sexual desires. But the good thing is that we can opt to be better than what our past tries to say about who we are to be.
