That is quite right, and all you need to do is become aware of your routine and enjoy it!

Enjoy the process, do it consciously and look for something good within: there always is, GO FOR IT and learn from it; just as you said also esteban!

Reading these lines, I suddenly realise I keep my routines as superstition: if I do certain routines, the day will go in the same way as yesterday and the day before...even if these days were not so good. It means I find it easier to live with the certainty that life goes by as I know it, although it is not at its best, than live with the possibility of change...wow, I must really look into this and find a way to change my ways.

Thanks & love

Dear Petr, I dont think two sunsets or two sunrises are the same..And yes, the sun rises every morning but every moning i see different colors in the sky..a light blue, or an ocean blue, blending with pink or purple or orange..it is like Nature is painting the sky every day..yet She puts different colors!! So the action of the sunrise is a routine, but it s different every day, like a new soul is born every day..

I don't think it means throwing routines overboard all together.
Routines, if balanced, can contribute in the opening of perspectives.
For instance if we didn't have a routine in walking, putting one foot in front of the other, we wouldn't be able to see the world around us because we would have to focus too much on each step we take.
On the other hand we need it just as much to change routines in order to keep our spirit free...

Love,
Vicky

But what is a routine - why is that? What is the rout cause of that? Is it an indolence or is it a fear? Might this be love? We can change how we do the routine things, but if don't remove the route cause - can we control the new growing person inside us?

Every day I walk to work and I can see the same cars parked on the same car park's spots despite it's still almost empty, I can see people having the same breakfast every day (maybe they keep doing that in order to achieve of something?)or I can see how a change of weather can confuse and change all of them...

And then I see the sun-rise every morning and many other things in nature staying in a routine track... but they're the rules thanks to which we can enjoy every single moment...

Rule x Routine...

So much coming into my mind and that's just because of two short lines of the text.

Children do need routine it's a way of developing mental discipline, but one good mental habits have been created they also need room to explore and develop into their own unique beings. As adults when we always follow routine, life becomes monotonous, and bad habits can also follow.

I take the quote as saying don't slack off on the routine things you do since they are "just part of the routine". Basically pay attention to the details and bring life to them.
