I know this comment is a rather late, i doubt most of you will even read it, but i’d like to put my little comment in anyway.. I think we must also remember other religions greatly acknowledge the famine side of God, or rather the Goddess, for example, my religion, Hinduism. I’ve grrown up praying and learning of many of our Goddesses and i suppose thats why when i started learning about other religions such as Christainity, and did discover the female side of it, i didn’t see it to drastically out of the ordinary. But my opinion remains, that there are many manifestations of God and many paths. It is up to you, to focus on what you are most comfortable with, and what you love the most. Further more, i have to agree with many of the comments, stating that the newer generations are more open to finding new interpretations of religions and more and more people are starting to think for themselves slowly and searching for what they believe in.

for example,
if…by doing something…your child is becoming like…you, does it mean that he/she IS you?
or…
does it mean that you both are alike?

maybe there’s not as much difference/distance between us and god as we’re led/choose to believe.
