In Brida, a book of mine that will be published in various countries (from March onwards) but written in 1990, I already talked about the Great Mother and the pagan religions. Do you think, 18 years later, that people have become more open to this? Or do you think that religion is still something essentially masculine?
This book was released on March 3rd.

Dear Paulo
I do not actually believe in a ‘God’ but that we are God and God is us. Just as the ocean consists of individual drops of water and the dessert individual grains of sand so we too are all individual sparks of the divine as is everything from plants to jelly fish and together we make up the whole. This is why we do not have paradise on earth but it can be. Each individual soul is constructing and reconstructing the destiny of this earth and every soul affects every other soul with whom it comes into contact. I believe that gradually souls are beginning to awaken to this reality which is shown by the breakdown of organised religions and a rise in an individual relationship to our spiritual existence. This being the dawn of the age of Aquarius, the bringer of spirit to the world, these movements and insights will increase. I myself am an Aquarian and I have faith that this momentum for a personal experience of the divine will increase. Only then will we begin to experience heaven on earth. Heaven is not somewhere else – it lives in each and every soul and when we finally take personal responsibility for our part in the divine destiny and treat each and every person as a truly divine being only then will we live in harmony with all that is.
Bright Blessings
Veronica

Nothing can bring you joy
but someone’s smile,
nothing can light up your face
but happy eyes
nothing can move your heart
but touch of hope,
everything only makes sense
if you…love.
for all of you with love

Dear Carmen Larisa,
Thank you for your kind words, and you’re so welcome.
I always hope that it can bring someone a little bit of hope, peace and love.
lots of love to everybody,
Agnieszka

This is one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read, really! Thank you, dear Agnieszka, for this beautiful gift; it seems to me that it is the essence of spring, of revival, of life… :-) After all, Love is neither masculine, nor feminine; Love represents God’s heart indeed and it simply exists, enjoys, enlightens… :-)
May God bless the whole world with Peace, Understanding and Communication!
Lots of Love,
Carmen Larisa
In my experience many individuals are much more open to the idea that God is not something that can be neatly placed in a box lablled He or She. For me a part of that awakeneing has been accepting both and, through that, realising that there is much more to it.
Many religious institutions lag behind. They are hamstrung by their own systems of belief. I can see their dilema. If you have invested ceturies of dogma in God being male and men being superior, and your codees of belief and practice are based on this, how do you suddenly turn round and say, ’sorry guys, we got it slightly wrong.’ without losing all credibility?
People are evolving in their beliefs and the major challenge for these religions now is to keep pace or to fade away as their hold and popularity wanes, or becomes locked in fundamentalism.

I think it has become open although I am still new to the goddess. I became aware of Her only after reading Mr. Coelho’s book even though I was born and grew up in a country which worships the feminine God. But I am still wondering what makes God feminine or masculine. Are they the same as our genders? Personally, I feel like I want to depend on masculine side of God but is feminine side dependable too?
For ‘religion’, I am not sure if it’s masculine or feminine, it rather appears to be neither and both simultaneously.
A ‘perfect’ ‘God’ (everyone who has a ‘God’, under whatever guise, agrees that ‘God’ is ‘perfect’) would have to incorporate both masculine and feminine principles without being captivated by either. The perfect union of the two is a revelation of love and source of creation, it’s the soul.
Hello Paulo,
Most people are ’sleepwalking’ on this planet, and few are genuinely following a spiritual path because it takes faith, bravery, and courage to step out of the comfort zone…
Unfortunately, the handful of males who are ruling this planet are only interested in the power of greed, control & corruption that exists in our religions, governments, and corporations.
Peace & Love,
Ola
Do you know this joke? When God created guys she was only exercising.
What is God’s gender? I think this question is a very naïve one.
Shortly I had a discussion with my disciples – they are ca. 9 years old – how they imagine God. They said the imagination of an old man sitting on a cloud don’t work for them anymore. Afterwards one of the children drew a picture of her imagination of God. It was a mythical being, a mixture of animal, plant and human being. She commended God includes parts of that all.
It seems that 9 year old kids have more progressive imaginations than the great religions.
I think church will not change its point of view – they cling to the image of God as a male in fear to lose their traditional power. There will be no female pope too soon. In natural religions it is different; you often find a female God – they see women as “donators of life” and not as “cause for sin” in the world.
I think all humanlike images of God arise from our helplessness to describe the indescribable and comprehend the incomprehensible.
Shortly I read a prayer someone began with the words “immaculate conception”. It sounds very abstract, but I like it, because God is not compared with man.
I was thinking..
blue or red..
sunny or sad…
does it matter..?
masculine..
feminine..
energy..
light..
it’s beautiful..
it’s enlightening..
it’s …so bright!
love to you all
Agnieszka
Thank you Annie, you’re so kind.:-)

Dear Agnieszka
Generalizations lead to false impression and that is how this misunderstanding was born , in the quest to concise my comments so not to take to much space the real me was lost . How I wish to be a great writer that in a paragraph weave a story of wonder.
I have the up most respect for people choice of faith, and believe it to be a right to in what name you pray to God
The names are many the path the same regardless of time and place, the temples are various, the church the garden the street, any time is a good time to initiate a dialogue with god.
What I object to is the disrespect that organized religion has for other denominations
and the fundamentalists of any faith that presume to be the chosen ones
In essence I am a very spiritual person and the spiritual connection is what fascinates me, those timeless encounters when one reaches a blessing moment that elevates one’s spirit closer to God .Like the one I had yesterday a sunset like no other I have ever witness in my life or seen in any published photo.
Setting in the horizon a incandescent red ball with the intensity and texture of melting glass was like witnessing the breath of God shaping the hearth of the earth., It was a transcendental moment, and those are the times I feel synchronized with the supreme being .
So you see my comments are never an attack merely an expression of my perceptions.
Love to all
Milou
One of the Questions in the book Brida is how can something be in two places at the same time? although it is scientifically possible it seems impossible. I have thought of this at length and reflected on a vision I once had, “One day a man called Thomas spoke to me.” Within this vision or hallucination he hinted at something that was all of the Angels and the Devil in one. But also it answered one of the biggest questions in Roman history, it is funny how some things are right under our noses all of the time and left to the greater mysteries of the “modern world.”
Anyhow, I think that religion is feminine in the world today and that the only masculine thing is Politics as war is now attached to this and peace is essentially attached to religion. Like the left and right side of the brain!
Thanks Adyita :o)
You think, I think…we think…clearly proved regardles what we think :o)
I have learned from one Teacher that the feminine creative energy is called (in her tradition) The Void. It is the blackness, the no-thing-ness, from which creation emerges. To enter that feminine creative power before one knows what to create can be beyond frightening… and dangerous.
The masculine energy of religion seems like a “safe” place from which to prepare for that journey into The Void. A place where we can begin to form, in the structure and form of masculine religion, the questions whose path we most wish to follow. We can learn here the “rules”, so that when we DO enter The Void (the feminine spirituality), we are able to bend and break those rules.
So I feel we are coming back into balance of masculine and feminine, not that one will replace the other. Rather, we will no longer be fulfilled by stopping within the masculine system. We will be compelled individually and en masse to reach beyond to access The Void.
Definitely.
I think insight into politics, such as the “separation” of church and state in America, the on-going religious conflicts, and the implementing of subjects such as Theory of Knowledge and the promotion of philosophical discussions in school have played a major role in that. A realization that a healthy environment may no longer exist in the years to come have made some people want to absorb it while it lasts. Also, with the health/stress obsession these days, people want to get out more.
As a result, people see religion as more a set of rules embedded within a set of values. After much soul searching and absorbing of nature, they realize that the only religion to follow is that of nature. In 1990, this would have seemed very, very taboo. It is obviously still taboo in most societies, but it is seen as a component of the “new age”.
I myself had started to really feel love for nature while meditating outdoors last year. A few months later I had become a vegetarian. Just a week ago, I took your advice from the Witch of Portobello and shook the leaves of a bush.
Today I realized I had felt the mother: one who does not mind extra anxiety because it is from someone she loves.
Except I had been feeling the mother this entire time – just not knowing it.
Petr
sorry you say you are not a master of words….because i was about to correct you, so please don’t take it personally;
God’s name as given to Moses, actually renders
I will prove to be what I will prove to be
….yes, so much the same, but still, a lot more
i would go so far as to say that god for one person has proved to be god, and for another, has proved – for them, to be something else – it must be divine choice of manifestation, god cannot be so easily contained…but is still One – Universal
Hi Adyita

I know we have become more open minded about these things. There is a spiritual wind blowing ancient wisdom all over us and even if we want to we cannot escape it. Sooner or later we all will be enlightened.

“I am who I am” that’s how it’s written in the Bible and I think it’s saying everything – I haven’t heard any better definition.
In last 18 years:
I can see people are more aware of “something” behind the life, rather than thinking of the Creator in masculine or feminine way. And it’s good.
And as I’m not master of words I think I shouldn’t write anything else :)
Dear Paolo.
I´ve carried your questions with me for several days. I find them really important in the time that we live in. I think God is beyound gender. And I think we can respond to what God is with a masculine energy or a femenine energy. Or both. As I see it, we ´ve had many experiences for years and years now with a masculine way of dealing with religion. Part of this has been giving God a masculine face and having a view of God being an huge authority out there, outside ourselves and beyond our world. So it´s time again for religion or spirituality to be taken care of in a feminine way also and for us to learn about the femenine face of God. As I see the time we live in, the spiritual impulses that touch people all over the world are about the possibility to know God inside ourselves, as an inner energy in our hearts and Higher Self. This also involves waking up to love maybe being one of God´s names and light being part of the divine fabric wich is the innermost nature of all living things. This way, we might see that we are the caretakers of this Earth and we´ll need to remember and renew natural spiritual practices because they become a self-evident part of our life.
More and more people are open to growing inside responding too these impulses on a much greater worldwide scale than maybe ever before. I´m deeply greatfull for being alive today because so many have such yearning for living a new way and doing something meaningfull in the world. As I see it, spirituality is taking on a new, courageous meaning in many people´s lives and we are learning about having a direct relationship with God and what love is and who we really are meant to be.
I wish you a happy Easter,
Sibila maria India
Hi leaf !!
almost there, god is it u say, everything, u say; that included u, presto, u too are part of the god as much as paulo or that star is. and remember god is something from which u remove the whole yet whole remains, it’s not like maths, it’s like love. god is a s/he, see here also the divine mother comes first:-; anyway what paulo asked was whether people are becomming more open to god being she, well at least people have started moving away from the stands held unquestioningly for generations, and that is a good sign !!! i feel

I said God is neither feminine nor masculine, but I have thought about this question some more and maybe God is both. As a Christian the bible tells me that God in his human condition, God in the flesh, God the word, the teacher, Jesus Christ our Lord is masculine. God the father, the creator, the giver of the laws, the God of the Jews is also masculine. After Jesus was resurrected and left this earth again he left the Holy Spirit among us to continue his work, so in fact we are living in the time of the Holy Spirit, the nurturer, the healer. The bible tells us that God is one and is also all three (the mystery of the trinity) Can it be that this mystery also encompasses a gender duality? If God can be three in one, couldn’t it also be both feminine and masculine? I believe we might be now more inclined to see God as a feminine figure, because after Jesus resurrection and ascension to heavens, a new era began. The time of the Holy Spirit, a time to come together in God’s love, and Love has no gender.
Dear Carmen Larisa,
Thank you for your answer and for the compliment.
You are right, everybody has free will and can choose whatever it suits them.
As Paulo wrote, “there are many paths to God”.
I respect, and share many of your beliefs.
I too love God, love life, every little aspect of it, and try to find joy in every moment that comes my way,
and I am happy to hear that there’s someone like you who enjoy it too.
I am happy for you the way you are.
It is so valuable in today’s life to have people who can fill this reality with smile, laughter, and love.
Keep on doing that.
I wish you all the love and only happy moments in days to come.
and
yes, I agree, the Spirit represents the essence of all good, but as I wrote before, it’s not limited only by Itself.
There’s much more…
:-)
lots of love
Agnieszka
P.S. I too, love to read your comments.
Hi people, I’m agitated today, sorry.
IF god is not a time traveling spaceman; ie visited his mother ‘personally’ before he was born = I and the father are one, after creating Adam from raw DNA and Eve his clone, and is NOT going to return blazing lazers from the sky
THEN
he is an IT
it is everything in the universe,
it is Life
everything on earth and in the sea
joined together by invisible, vibrating string theory
it is One
the first and last
dividing it into he and she, good or bad, right and wrong
is human
which does nothing but create friction, tension
within the whole
within ourselves
judge not
there is nothing except what is
I am, you are
I am nothing without you
if not for you, i would not exist
at least, not in your eyes -
ah…in your eyes I see the brightest star and the black hole of eternity, calling me, drawing me, and lo, I see I am there already….er, yes, quite, don’t know What I was thinking, I’ll just go and Be somewhere else…
:)
is it true we cannot understand everything?
well, what a bloody waste of time – I thought that was my Life goal, that and the definition of Love.
Every theory has a few holes, though, doesn’t always hold water…..guess I’m gonna search for holes now instead, take the first one marked ‘exit’…and find out that someone misquoted me and said ‘edit’
Such is Life!
Thanks for the coffee, by the way, Paulo.

Dear Agnieszka,
Thank you very much for your words of appreciation! :-) It’s true that I believe in Love and God, who, in fact mean the same thing, with all my heart! :-)
I also believe that each person has free will given from God and since we have awareness, we can choose what suits us best.
For me, love is simple, it fills my heart with fragrant flowers and it brings joy, smiles, laughter, pleasant surprises, enthusiasm, generosity, joy of sharing, modesty, courage, victory and many, many, more good things… I can’t help it; I am an incurable optimst; I believe I have been born like that, I’ve always had a positive attitude in my life, there is always Hope and a Solution for everything waiting to be discovered; when there is tension in the air, I like to say something funny, to see people feeling good again; I always like to offer gifts, to see the spark of surprise and joy in the eyes of the others; this is the greatest reward that I can possibly think of! :-)
Before starting meditation classes at Sahaja Yoga, I was satisfied with my life about 50%, because I took many things too personnally, I was hurt by injustice and so on; now after more than a year and a half of discovering my true Self, I feel good most of the time in my life, about 90%, which is so great!
Why do we have to associate pain, suffering, sacrifices with Love and Evolution, I really don’t understand. For me, this is simply not the right way anyway.
I prefer to notice only good things in general, if I am not compatible with some people, I leave them alone because everyone has the right to choose how he or she wants to live his or her life, but without sorrow or grudge. This is life, not everything can be convenient and easy, but still, inside us there can still be a volcano of joy bursting outside too! This is how I feel and I thank God for everything, for all the blessings received! :-)
Of course there are good days and less good days, but this is not a problem, it motivates you to go on with more force and determination than before.
I don’t think that it’s something out of the ordinary, for me it seems so natural, to enjoy life, no matter how many obstacles you have to overcome, it is worth all the efforts in the world.
In the 10% left, there is a shadow, that the others don’t feel the same joy of living and I can’t force anyone to believe that everything is a matter of attitude, if you decide to put at your heart all the stupid things that happen anyway or not.
Maybe I am a big child, I have been told that many times, as a compliment and also as a reproach… But I want to remember only those who said that I should never change that, I asked what, as it seemed so funny and the answer was: the way you are, the way you feel and spread Joy around you… :-)
And one more thing, I noticed that even if there is still stubborness, people seem to be more interested in spirituality, in finding God inside their hearts first and this is so wonderful… :-)
As far as the Spirit is concerned, my dear Agnieszka, the Spirit represents the essence of everything good, it is pure love, pure energy from all the blessings have come, come and will come. It is eternal, infinite and has so many forms and aspects, it can’t be destroyed or changed. Love simply is! :-)
I don’t know all the things from the rational point of view, that’s true, God is infinite, but fortunately, my heart knows and feels everything because there is Light and the Devotion for The Great Goddess, dear Holy Mother and this is more than enough! My heart dances most of the time hearing the music of Love for Life and gratitude for simply being! :-)
Many hugs to everyone and all the best in the whole world,
Carmen Larisa
P.S. I love your verses, you should write them more often, you have talent; still there is always room for more Joy and Determination to fight the good fight as Paulo well says, in this world we live in! :-)
Dear Milou,
I don’t think that it is always a matter of courage to make a transition from one thing to another, from one spirituality or religion to another.
Maybe for some of us, yes, but many of us simply believe with whole their heart.
I know that institutions makes us all feel that something is restricted, I know, but from my point of view as you look at why people attend the mass, if you know more, you’ll know that God is always there where two or more people meet in His/Her name, and, because of that there’s the miracle of transformation taking place.
Of course if you believe in that.
That is the only reason for me, people should go to the mass, not because it is a habit, not to listen to the priest, because he as every human being, might be wrong, might have a bad day, or luck of wisdom.
If you really believe that the Holy Spirit appears during the mass, then it is one of the best experiences, moments, miracles one can be a part of.
So believe me, not everybody has eyes and mind closed, and no courage, some of us has simply this true passion, true love, true beliefs for the mystery of God.
And in spite of it, one can also be open to the world, open for the new, great ideas, new experiences,
love nature and see God in everything around, everywhere.
Can be limitless, and full of enthusiasm for this unexpected, beautiful life.
love
Agnieszka
The goddess is the feminine aspect of all that is .The universe originate from the union of two aspects the feminine and masculine and gave birth to and all things, light and darkness, positive and negative love and hate, mater antimatter etc .Neither any of them good or bad just a part of a whole
From the beginning of time rational beings have paid homage to these aspects in nature and the spiritual world until the male element in society claimed holy status to their phallus, rape the feminine and established organized religion, consequently the world descended to a age of unbalance and disharmony where is has been ever since.
Thanks to the great courage of countless and nameless women and many good enlightened men that kept the spirit of the great mother alive we are now slowly awakening from the apathy of doctrine.
So I believe only when we reestablish the balance in this planet we will have a change to leave in peace and harmony
Still there are countless numbers of people that merely respond to fabs and live their lives according to this ,because it takes much courage and fortitude to live up your convictions and outstand the looks and labels that the ‘establishment ‘subjects you to if you do not follow the crowd.
Love to all
Milou
When I see that in one day three trees can be cut and even more without any reason…
I believe that the Great Mother is still unrespected in the heart of many people…
Seeing that every being is filled with the seed of life I believe that She lives in every heart and every day is a good day to open the tap and to let flow the water that guides us to fertitlity in oneness.
Love
Hildegarde
That you can’t accept either…
Does it really matter if God is masculine or feminine?! Using the he or she is not important it’s just a language to express our thoughts but God is in every thing we see. We can find him in every living thing… in every breath we take and every light we see…he is the whole universe…
So the important point is that he exists everywhere and that he is the strength and power…
For me I don’t believe that God is masculine nor feminine he is higher than these 2 genders. But unfortunately some people are still holding to the old traditional thoughts so with time we can find 2 opinions one that is really opened & can accept new ideas and the other is very much the opposite(in a scary way!!! ).
yes people have become more open to spirituality and less with religion -and yes the Goddess is dancing ! I see god as more male but I also see the divine too in all . Times have changed from 18 yrs and in another 18 yrs it will be interesting too see..Blessings Tania ,People are embracing both every day
Dear Carmen Larisa,
I see that you believe in love, in God with all your heart, and you certainly are a great person, so please tell me…..
If you believe in love so much, why you cannot understand that love often comes with sacrifice, with suffering, with pain?
We would love it to be only joyfull, happy,… yes,
but don’t you think that in sacrifice lies deeper, greater, higher meaning.
Mother Theresa once said:
“If you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more.. love.”
Tell me, why do you limit God to the form of the Spirit… if God… can be anything He/She wants; the air, the Universe, the Light, the Love, the Earth, the bird, the sun, every little particle in the world,
can be Everything and Anything at the same time,
so then.. also can be…. the Holy Trinity, and.. can be… a man.
Can’t He/She?
The Holy Trinity shows the complexity and yet, the simplicity and the…beauty in being so humble, so loving… to become… a man, who comes to people, to sacrifice His own life for them, so they can be…saved, so they can experiance… this infinite love for the human kind.
Isn’t it something so… great, that no words can express it?
Why, I can, accept that God is the Light, the Love, the energy, the Father and the Mother, etc., and you on the other hand, cannot accept the human side of God?
Why?
Because it is difficult to comprehend?
Who said, that God must only be simple?
Wouldn’t it be too easy, too effortless?
Why it is so hard to acknowledge that God can be both, simple and difficult?
We believe in the unknown,
isn’t it unknown too difficult to understand?
Why we, human beings cannot accept one thing, that we may not even have a clue…
not a slightest idea, of What or Who God can be?
Maybe…. by showing us different sides, different nature of Him/Herself, wanted to see….how we are going to react?
If we love… enough, trust enough, and believe enough?
If we can love Him/Her… as much as He/She loves us?
So, how is it with this unconditional love, you wrote about?
Isn’t it…loving One without limitations, without rules, without…a doubt?
?
:-)
sending you lots of love and peace
<3
Agnieszka
The pendulum tends to swing from one side to the other in all aspects of our existance. Religion is no exception.
It is a truism that the One consists of the Many.
That male and female are two opposite aspects of that One. That the positive and the negative cancel out into nothingness, from which everything once emanated.
It is a truism, or so we say.
But then why is it so difficult for us to embrace it?
Acient voices are hearing, as God has nothing much to say without His half.
He’s well enough compassionately, to accept we all forget Her. As well we did for their Sons and Daughters.
And more, He’s compassionately with those who tried to hide Her in abyss, believing they’ll be stronger than Her.
With Gratitude.
The world is inevitably turning to pagan way of life, because a masculine God did not offer them the whole to go forward. Goddess is missing, unconsciously.
Nature says it: noone wouldn’t have been there without two parents.
The Great Mother is sitting on a chair, just near the door of her home. Dressing in black, she’s the everyone day witness of how the world is, in her cobbled alley.
Maybe she lived earlier, giving a knowledge to human. Now she’s just stting on a chair, just near the door of her home, Dressing in black, she’s the everyone day witness of how the learning is enforcing, in her cobbled alley.
Light!
In the last several years, I have heard a few of my acquaintances talk about the “Goddess”. They happen to be wiccans so that may be the reason.
But I agree with Walaa that God is neither male nor female, but has qualities of both. I think that when man and woman come together in marriage that it is the true manifestation of God’s nature. I believe that is why He created both male and female and says that, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother, cling to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.” (book of Genesis)
I believe God has a dual nature that he is trying to show us in his creation. I believe that Night and Day are also manifestations of this dual nature that He is trying to manifest to us.
J.
To me God is neither femenine or masculine. It is a question of language. Language has limitations, but it is the only tool we have to express our thoughts. God is limitless and it can not be reduce to a word or a pronoun, but when one speaks about God as an entity then one most decide wether to use he or she. I think to use “it” will feel too impersonal. We want to have a personal relationship with God, and in order to do that we use terms like he or she.
Religion comes from the Latin word “religare” which means “union.” Union with what? With the Divine Light and with everything that express this Creative Energy, under a multitude of aspects.
But people understood what they wanted to understand, what is convenient for them to believe. I am convinced that the Truth is everywhere, even if we perceive it to be invisible, it manifests all the time in our lives, we are pure energy and this is a fact! We have grown from very early stages till this period, but for what? To learn and feel everything about the greatest religion of all: LOVE!
Now I am reading “The Pilgrimage” and it seems so strange how a man can teach you about evolution in such harsh conditions, offering such cruel experiences and you accepted all “the torture treatment”, this is even more strange… This “master” Petrus had some good ideas and maybe good intentions, too but wouldn’t it be easier and more efficient on long-term to teach you about Love, in a gentle, delicate way? To show you that he really cares… :-) How can you teach anyone anyway about evolution when you don’t feel Love and Eternal Joy in your life…
I strongly believe that no matter what religion you choose or it depends, you are forced to adopt,if is a real good one, it must teach you how to be a better person, how to love unconditionally, how to treat others as your own reflection, how to give without expecting anything in return, how to feel joy and enthusiasm all the time, by showing real examples; in theory we all know what is right, what is good or not, but what about practice?
A true religion should teach you that the whole world is your home, should not be limited only to some privileged people, but to teach you how to be open-minded and hearted.
And very important it should teach you that God is in your heart first and foremost! :-) No matter how many things you know or have, if you don’t feel the joy of living, you are away from your inner Self, this I know for sure.
God is both masculine and feminine at the same time, but we can’t understand God through our minds which are limited in a way, but through our hearts. When we have an open-heart, we feel that Love represents protection, compassion, feminine aspects, righteousness, discernment, perfection of conduct, masculine aspects and also, joy, laughter, enthusiasm of playing, childlike aspects. So, the Trinity reveals itself under many forms, but after all, God is only One, the Spirit, fromn where all the blessings come… :-)
I believe that people are more and more open to real spirituality, to the Light, to real Freedom and Enlightment, to the Great Mother now more than ever and this is a great sign, when people allow pure knowledge of Love manifesting everywhere to shine under the form of a dance of Joy! :-)
Lots of love and a wonderful spring to everyone in the whole world,
Carmen Larisa
P.S. The sword you were looking for so anxiously, dear Paulo, is the Sword of Light and you can find it in a “secret” place, in YOUR HEART! :-) It is almost too simple to believe, but it is so true… See for yourself if I am right or not; Seekers of Truth always carry a Sword of Light in their brave hearts. :-)
Dear Nancy
I don’t think that this masculine view of God comes from the prophets or anything like that and it does apply to all the people.
I think that it is more of the men point of view. because of their insecurities.
Women beliefs are simply more flexible, and more prone to accept the feminine side of God, because it agrees with our own nature, which is perceptive, sensitive, and much more complex.
The men on the other side, they want to be strong, independent, etc.., but are they really?
Some of them, maybe, but the ones who are not, they would never admit that, under no circumstances.
I have male friends who always behave like they were at the top of the mountain, but honestly, they are…still at the bottom, mostly because of this…dishonesty.
So, this acceptance can come only from people who are strong enough, and open enough to wide up their horizons.
Those who are confident with nature, with every aspect of our life and religion, with themselves.

“do you think that religion is still something essentially masculine?”
religion being masculine or feminine is a childish question, if looked at from perspective of mature religion. unfortunately such a debate is a valid one in the western civilisation. as yagna has said, it’s my impression too, that as media is carrying messgaes to more people, their is a mass awakening towards religion & spirituality. common man is becomming more open.

more like crutches….
I couldn’t sleep…Something got me thinking…
wasn’t sure whether to write it in here or where You wrote about signs…
well, maybe that’s a sign..
There’s something peculiar about signs indeed…
I remember reading Alchemist first, even the second time, I loved it, every little detail…
but…the moment You wrote….
“My Lord, I am not worthy that You would come to me, but tell only one word and my soul will be cleaned”
these words….made me cry every time…..?
why?….
There are things, unexplainable moments….signs,
either in nature or in our religion, that our heart….our soul….somehow recognize…..
it may be the sound of the singing bird, the river flowing, or the warmth of the sun, that brings these feelings, these …..memories… of this unity with nature, with the universe, with….. God…
and it doesn’t matter what it is……it is beautiful!!!

Dearest Paulo and friends
As time has commensed, people are being more and more aware of their spirituality. These days, there is an increasing amount of people who have began to look at their religion and critically analse it. They are learning of other beliefs as well and seem to be far more open now new and different things- even a combination of things to help them get closer to God.
Since I was not around a practical age (18 years ago – was 2 years old) i cannot confidently give you an answer, Paulo. I can however say, being brought up in this generation, i learnt of the famine side of God at a fairly early age (when i was about 16). I feel that with a relationship with God, the image that you must see is one that you are most comfortable with and you believe in. At the end of the day, you must be able to communicate with God easily, and this choice will vary from person to person. As much as i acknowledge the famine face of God, and do love and respect it, i find it far easier for me to see God as a Father figure. I don’t know why, but i do and I love Him very much :) (We do have a pretty good relationship- if i do say so for myself. *smile*)
Thank you for being

Have people become more open..?
Yes and no.
Some of us certainly have, although religion is so sacred, so delicate, so individual for every person, that even though you can be open, in a sense of understanding, somehow you’re not exactly….you simply cannot question things you know are…..holy, divine.
You may in your mind….modify, adjust them in a way that speaks to you, make them more comprehensible, so it fits your own vision of God, religion….so it agrees with your own beliefs, with your soul, your heart.
If you are really open and curious about everything, about God, existence, life and death, then you keep on looking, keep on searching for clues, for understanding, and nothing can stop you from having your own point of view.
If you believe that God can be the Holy Trinity and also can be both good and bad if He/She chooses to, then you can also believe that there can be feminine and masculine side of God.
If God is… Almighty then He/She can be…… anything He/She wants, air, time, every little particle in the whole Universe, or the Universe itself, Higher Intelligence, Soul of the World, anything and everything……
we may not even be able to imagine.
How can we, anyway?
We’re just human beings.
I am afraid of one thing though, that whenever there are new ideas about God, etc., young people tend to get so mixed up, that actually they don’t know anymore who or what they should believe, and they end up not believing at all.
That’s the greatest threat for me,
besides that, everybody who has his/her heart set up in a specific direction will find their own way to interlace new with old and distinguish right from wrong.
If we look inside….we’ll always see the Light and….this Light will show us the way.

This might not answer your question..
but i personally believe that God is not masculine, nor feminine..
God created both Male, and Female..and that doesn’t mean that He/She has to be one of them..
My opinion, He is both masculine, and feminine..but it’s just a matter of words, using He, or She is like using God or Allah..they all refer to the ONE creator..
I feel many people still view religion in a masculine way because the prophets of religion(Jesus, Muhammad,Moses, Buddha)were male. People might see their religion in a masculine perspective because it gives their religion strength and believablity. People aren’t ready to believe that a woman can change humanity, have great strength, strong sprituality, perform miracles, and the ability to know God’s presense.
But we are at a time where people are thinking for themselves more and open minded. I think there are people who are taking the truth from religion and trying to live a balance life with what is around them and Mother nature.
Dear paulo,
the great mother lives on since ancient times. She was never gone, only men lost contact.
So the time is always right.
I really dont know if people are more open to this..Most people are what their ancestors are..if they were christians then they become christians too, if they were induists they become induists too and so on..I dont believe that there are many people who consider to believe in something else that their parents taught them..Maybe because they dont want to get involved in some things they dont know or dont want to discover…
Personally, i dont believe that God, is masculine..i think it is something with the passing of the years we have come up with ..I was talking about that with my parents and they believed i am crasy, and that is the kindest word i heard..I believe in Love..and this equals God, for me..I think Love is the Great Mother, one we all need to survive..Love is the greatest form that we can take , so that we can become Gods..Sometimes i talk to the Moon..(In Greece we call the moon Selini – feminine), or i hear the waves of the Sea speak to me..I love love love walking in a forest, when i am close to Nature everything feels like home..All of these are feminine..Love is feminine..Great Mother is everywhere..In our Hearts..If only we had our eyes of our hearts open to see…this greatness around us…in us..
Love to all of you
