  • Yes,
when you love someone you don’t tire the person up to your dreams…
you free your mind by letting go the fear of lost.

How do you win… by putting someone in a cage that you have to guard all the time so that the person won’t run away with the freedom that you miss.

  • When you are in a relationship and you tell someone you dont agree with some of their wants and it becomes an ultimatum – my wants or yours – is that nor interfering in another’s destiny? And what about compromise – is this still interfering. can relationships only work when 2 people are aligned and if they are not they should move on instead of giving up their destiny?

  • If I say I believe in destiny it means I do not have to work on being a better person, taking responsibility for my actions and I can look at myself as a ‘victim’ for the rest of my life. No challenges what so ever, it is the easy way out so to speak. And we people do not want to do more than neccessary why even think of interferring in another persons destiny(?).
I used to believe in destiny but the more I learn from life less I believe in destiny. Even though it is less romantic too.

  • I agree with Kathleen, we all interfere in eachothers lives and we are all a part of someones destiny. But I think that Paulo did not write this in that aspect. If we want to iterfere with someones destiny we usually do it in mean way. We want to spoil someones plans and future. And we do not like that person at all, but in proces WE are the one who is loosing humanity and our time in ours lives.

  • Consciously wanting to change other’s life is vain, that’s true.
    But in a way, I don’t understand.
Don’t we interfere to respective lives, as we interact with each others to create?
The simple act to meet someone is an interference.

    Happy evening All of You.

  • Dearest Paulo and friends,

I’m not too sure how true this statement is though, i’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I can see how some people (such as parents) persistance (especailly when they feel their child is making a mistake)can pose as challenges on one’s way to their dreams. It should be up to us to fight them and over come our obstacles. It makes us stronger and teaches us so much, and it makes up remember why we are fighting for our dreams in the first place- it reminds us how much we love it. I’ve experienced something similar and no matter how nerve recking or terribly difficult it was to for me face, i did it, and it made me realise just how important my dream was to me, and now, people respect me more for it, and i know, without a doubt this is for me. Even in Paulo’s case- he has faced many challenges- but he persisted- if you were to ask if he’d change those challenges one bit, i doubt he’d say yes- would you, Paulo? Every single experience, makes us who we are.
I think we must remember everybody affects everyone else. We should be as positive as possible and supporting as best you can when dealing with people and their dreams- especially parents with regard to their children. But we must never forget that we ourselves holds the power to our destiny- if we fight, never give up, we will get it- even against all odds, we just have to believe.

  • Sometimes I wonder at the personal costs soothsayers, guides and people who see beyond the present, pay.

  • I don’t get it, Paulo, how could I possibly interfere in your destiny or anybody else’s? I may have an opinion about what you do or say, but I have no power to change anything. Whatever happens, whether with or without my interference, is meant to happen > is that not what destiny is all about?

    My dictionary states the following:
    destiny :
“the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future :
’she was unable to control her own destiny’” > I believe that this example is out of context: One cannot control one’s destiny, for the word would lose its meaning.

“the hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate :
‘he believes in destiny’” > this explanation is much closer to the true meaning of the word.

I certainly don’t have control over mine, and although I am a perfectly fulfilled person, leading a full life, I often feel that I am living outside myself, that I am hovering above myself watching me live rather than live… It’s a very interesting experience, it’s like watching a film, which I am compelled to watch until the end! And I often wonder what the end is destined to be…

    Que Sera, Sera,
    Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours to see
    Que Sera, Sera
    What will be, will be

  • I didn’t get it at first, but then I think the people who are in your life are there by no accident. It is meant, and you are meant to somehow affect their life, that is part of your destiny and theirs – as an adjunct.

  • Thank you for this one today, so perfect for me to see it today.

  • Every man must search for his own destiny, this is his personal adventure! A warrior knows that he is responsible for every moment, every choice and every step. It is a journey in which he will discover wonderful treasures, yet he must also encounter many difficult challenges.

Sometimes people find it easier to interfere with the destiny of others, for that way they do not need to be brave and face the fears which lie in the path of their own. There is a tragedy for those who not seek their destiny, for although it can not lost be lost forever, they miss out on the richness of experience that lies along the way.

Not even with love can a warrior walk the path of or for another, for such a path is devoid of all fortune.

  • There’s this saying:
“mind your own business”, sounds a little brutal, but it’s true.

Every one of us has destiny to follow, the one, the only, created even before we were born, only for us, but it’s not easy to recognize.
One has to have this intuition..this inner feeling…the eyes open to find it.
It takes the heart, the soul, whole our existance to sense it.
If we’re open enough…we can start to see…

Someone who concentrates on others, on others’ life, others’ dreams will never be able to see his/her own.

    love

  • that is so true..we have so many thing to see
so many things to do..so many things to look for..why interfere in the destiny of others and messing them up?even if it comes from ‘love’-as they say.. i wonder if my dear parents have ever considered that…
