What have you inherited from your youth?
The fact that, even after going through some very difficult experiences in my life, as being in a lunatic asylum, or being arrested by the military that ruled Brazil, I never saw myself as a victim, but as someone who was living the adventure of being alive, and following a dream.

disillusionment and may be a job
That love hurts, brings you tears.. but it’s okay because at the end of the road….God is waiting.
…
cry,
you may hear an angel..
smile,
you may see the love..
dance,
you may feel the world..
love,
you may touch..
God’s heart.
…
love

Hi Paulo! I’ve brought so much with me from my youth but now older I see it all has benefited me, it all has had its part to play to bring me to where I am now. Yeah sure there are parts that were painful and I felt like a victim and wished at the time they weren’t happening but now looking back smile because I see the part they had to play in my journey (a la the Alchemist!). Obrigado!
Dear Paulo,
What is your dream? Do you feel it has been fulfilled in any way or will you keep on pursuing dreams greater?
Love, Rachel
that everything is possible, that dreams come true and love is everywhere if faith is strong
Dear Paulo,
If we could have this power…
we could take the pain..
away…
lots of love
Agnieszka

Thank you, Paolo, again for everything you give us through your site and ‘Warrior of the Light”and, of course, for your books, that keep me company and open me the window for a hopefull and beautiful world. I suggest that your favorite music could accompany your sites!! Sounds and music,. is the language of God. a I am a Greek Cypriot. Cyprus the birth place of Aphrodite. Our small island is under Turkish invasion since 1974. {I am sure you know about it} My youth has offered me the wisdom of age and the tenderness for everyhuman being that has crossed my path, either a friend or an enemy. It is the Love for every creature walking the Path..

I am a generally happy, positive mother, wife, employee and friend, but I know that I was happier, less cynical, more trusting and carefree as a young girl.
What have I inherited? We are all born with the same innocence, openness, acceptance and trust. We are taught prejudice, doubt, fear etc from our experiences as we grow up, but I am lucky in having inherited a positive attitude from my Mother. She simply wouldn’t accept ‘can’t’ as being a valid word in our vocabulary. Even though I can remember protesting vehemently that I ‘couldn’t jump high enough to land on the moon’ or ‘couldn’t turn myself into a fairy’ I was always told that if I wanted something badly enough I could achieve it. This has probably been the most valuable inheritance from my youth and I have certainly tried to pass on this philosophy to my own children.
Thank you!
I inherited optimism as my mother kept on telling me :
-Have no fear, you can do it, everything will come out fine!
And in evenings she would invent short stories with happy ending but main caracters would be somebody or something from our neighbourhood, be it person, animal, vegetable…whatever.
She subscribed us on weekly edition of fairytales (four fairytales a week)and on Sunday would take three of us to our village church for The Mass in time when in school we learned socialism….
Thank you Paulo, you reopened that part of my life again !
