I read it in the same time, I did for the "Alchemist", and I remember, there were synchronicities between them, in regard to Life's Piece. The book of Herman Hesse explains two points of view, as for art. One character needs to leave his monastery, for trying to create one master-work. And so he errs, breathing hardly, hurting, sadly, but living also arousals . While the other, his companion, creates without asking and follow the rules of the monastery, he stayed. They both lived what they wanted too. Even if they don't know if they choose it. But they asked a time, how it would feel to live the other's path. Love.
