The constant struggle?
“Stop being my own worst critic…”
A yearly regular on my life’s To-Do list.

I wrote a poem the other day… thought this is an appropriate time to share it with friends :)
The Art of Writing
Rhymes and riddles,
Twists and tales,
Words in letters,
Words for mail…
The deepest of emotions,
The fakest of affections,
With a pen and paper,
You cast your projection…
Beautiful or horrible,
No matter what it seems,
It is perfectly worth,
For it’s part of your being.
You can sit and scout,
From a memory to a dream,
You’ll they always flow,
Like an endless stream…
You could dwell on your sorrows,
And splatter it on a page,
From soft silent tears,
To bold imprints of rage!
If you’re rather uplifted,
You could write about joy,
You could write about family, friends,
Or that one special boy.
There are countless possibilities,
Of what you could do,
From making up stories,
To describing a shoe…
You’ll begin to soon see,
That the essence of this art,
Is rather very simple,
Just speak from your heart.
So don’t be afraid,
To let your hand roam free,
Just let loose of your soul,
And discover who you may be…

There are probably more things that I want to do than what I would prefer not to experience. Inspiration is a process that can be mastered by intentionally overstepping our bounds, as I have discovered. Quite a devilish paradox it is that a prescribed formula (or for that matter totally unprescribed, but for simplicity the ‘thing’ that works to get the juices flowing) can stimulate sponteneity, or something that is totally unique and doesn’t follow any pattern.. or does it? Map out your unconscious mind. Be brutal if you must and unconditionally fearless. Learn what makes all people tick by understanding what make you tick and this will bring you success in anything that you choose to accomplish. Did I mention that I want to write about SOMETHING? :) Thank you Paulo. Maybe I’ll see you in orbit some day.

“There are two types of writers: those who make you think and those who make you dream”
If I ever would wish for in writing…would be…to make someone …dream, I wouldn’t ask for anything more.
You, Dear Paulo…make people both, think and dream!!!
It’s a miracle.
Thank You so much.
You are the greatest!!!

Thankyou ! And Yes I agree the nib of a pen is much more romantic ,I always find I write better in the moment like the car or a waiting room ,I get a sentence or a idea and I write it on scrap paper and take it home to add it to my journal before I transfer it to the keyboard .I can write straight to the computer but find it takes away being in the moment ,when the inspirational juices get running it can occur at odd times and it is better to grab hold of it before it floats away …Blessings Tania

I have already replied ,but I can try another point of view,I think this river about you are talking may be considered a metaphor for the inspiration. One have to let it flow, to give up the tendency to control everything.Only when you let it go you can listen to the whispers of the univers,to your own heart.

Well, after many years I’ll take “the pen” and put “the word” on paper and go after my Dream that I nourture ever since my childhood when I wrote with pencil in copy book.
Maybe something worth will come out of it.
You said :
Join those who sing, tell stories, enjoy
life and have happiness in their eyes.
I am one of such people, but for long time I am surrounded by pesimists and “emotional vampires” and it’s time to move on.
Tonight I’ll find time and write the first line of story that might turn into novel.
Please, wish me good luck !
