Still, what's unique about the present time is the literally global nature of the problems we're creating for the future. And to date what we've done to slow global warming is literally nothing. It looks to me as though leadership around the world - which today is often more corporate than govermental, since major corporations influence goverments so strongly - generally shows no sign of wishing to address the problem. I think the problem will have to reach a point of affecting the bottom lines/short term profit motives of the world's wealthiest individuals and corporate entities before it will be seriously addressed.
