I remember when I began reading Coelho again after a few years break, the first book I read after all that time was By the River Piedra I sat down and Wept. That was three years ago.
I am running the biggest risk of my life over the next two months and I becoming someone who can tell you how to save a life!

Miracle of life….living to the fullest…..welcoming unexpected…
Can we do it? Yes we can. It is always up to us, but yes, it takes risk, it takes courage, especially when the circumstances are not simple. When you go ahead and follow your instincts, your dream, your destiny, what can you lose? and what can you lose if you don’t?
Something may die inside you, something so…precious that you may never recover, but should you think only of yourself? What if…the sacrifice of losing your dream will make you a better person? What if God want you to sacrifice, be humble, and not think of yourself? Didn’t He do the same? Didn’t He sacrifice his life for others? Yes, but…does He really want you to do that?
There are always will be yes and no, you will always be in between, on the crossroads.
Can you stay there? Not for long. Life goes on, time flies, the journey of your life is always upon you. Somehow, you have to decide, whether to lose your enthusiasm, your passion for life, your dream, or…go on living, go on dreaming, go on dancing to the music of your life.
But do you really have to chose? Is there any other way?
When you have love inside, this love will show you the way…the simple one.
Because love…is simple.
It does not envy,
it does not insist on its own way,
bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things,
is patient, is kind,
love…never fails.

I shall quote a cinese saying that tells us “If one is afraid to left the shore and of travelling over the sea,one would never be able to find new beautilful countries “.Every interesting and new thing was ever found out by people who take risk and accept challenge.For a better ancient e.g. I remember the story of some people tied up in a cavern,of Platon. They saw the shadows of their own on the walls and were afraid.But one managed to untie himself and found the way out .He saved the other too.Maybe the thing we are afraid should have the same properties of the shadows in the cavern ,we should take the example of the one that untied himself.I personally have many times in my life feared that I cannot succed in somethings, but ,almost every time I tried ,for my greatest surprise I have been successful.
I’m starting to let go and notice the extraordinary things in the ordinary of life (if there’s an ordinary). I just took the book By the River Piedra I sat down and I wept in my hands.. and I was jut reading that phrase that you posted (even though I have read this book years ago and I see it everyday by my bed).. and it was such a surprise to read it again in here so quickly.. I guess those are the messages the world sends us .. the ones you talk about in your books..
The unexpected happens with or without us allowing it.. I think its a good feeling that its not up to us people what happens in life (not all the time, if ever?). I believe we´re in good hands
Quiet true ! if you never dare to have a go,take a risk then how do you ever change ,or improve your life ,love ,or work .Miracles happen every day ,moment ..life is a miracle .Blessings Tania

but you can also walk and achieve the same result..! hehe
Yes, I like to take it easy; I was thinking the other day, I don’t fear, because I can’t be bothered anymore, I don’t regret, it’s a waste of time and makes you feel bad, like fear. It’s the same with any negativity - absolutely not worth it, when you can be enjoying yourself, taking it easy.

so true… ur books hve been inspiring nd ur quotes hve meant life to me… its so true dat unless u take risks u dnt actually receive all dat u once dreamt for..n dat remains a pipe dream…only if u tke up the risks in life will u get alll n perhaps if nt get it.. learn all dat u actually need to … jst at the rite moment… THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR SUCH BEAUTIFUL QUOTES N BOOKS.

Its a miracle to live and to realize learning never stops, providing we are willing to expand our senses.
as the saying goes….NO GUTS NO GLORY…. to achieve something we have to give ourselves, extend extra effort, use our senses and experience extreme things that are happening to our daily life.. see the difference and in the end realize what are the essential values in life….we come to a point reaching the point of falling down but that’s what it takes…from it we become strong and brave enough to face life up high… renew ones life from falling..leave yesterday and face our tomorrow with a bright future… :-) warm greetings to everyone :-)

I wish this quote can replace all the years I was raised to be safe to not take chances. But many times I still make the same mistakes. I’m no longer the age of a child and must change. Tough.

Russians say “who does not risk he does not drink champain”.
yes, there is a estiny and yes life and time put everything to its place, but hey, why don’t we help them out a bit and get the courage to take a risk and make the first step to the future?
You can only control the present moment. The past is done with, and the future is present in action. Once the action has taken place, it also becomes the past. If you stay focus in the past you live in fear and you’re in a constant state of “what if”. Trying to plan for the future is futile, you have no control over it, the future is only an illusion. Once you learn to stay in the present moment, to live in the now, risks are just part of your life experience. When you surrender your will to the experience you allow the unexpected to happen.

Take risks, but be careful along the way.
Taking risks gets the adrenaline going. Taking risks is necessary for a fulfilled life… if that’s what you want from life.
Don’t only LISTEN to what is being said though, but make sure that you HEAR the miracle of life when it comes and then allow
the unexpected to happen.

It is wise running the risks keeping in mind that there are alternative choices. Because as you stress at one of your books, you can succeed only by knowing a way to withdraw. Thank you very much for your contribution to our life! Although we may have some failures, We always have to find ways to escape our fears and look forward. Isn’t it?
