The way i see it, the artists and the record companies are billionaires or millionaires over and over again. Its not like they are starving and people are taking their bread away! Seriously! Thats why i admire Paulo, cause he's more interested in people seeing who he is than taking their money. His got enough to live comfortably.. And thats great. God bless my scanner; it wasn't here when I started out. The artists get most of their money from concerts, they are in the business of producing art, and art not shared is not art. The record labels are in the business of making money and so are the lawyers, so they're protecting their own interest not the interest of the artist. Besides take for example Paulo Coelho. He makes money from selling books, doesn't he? Then why have them on this site for you to download them for free? If you want to have his books in your library, you'll buy them, and having them on this website gives opportunity to people that are not familiar with his work to get acquainted with it. I think the same is true for music. People will buy the books, and they will buy the cds regardless of the fact that they can listen or read them online for free. The same was said when the VCRs came out,” people are going to stop going to the movies”, but movies are still grossing millions of dollars.
