Quote of the Day

By Paulo Coelho

The two hardest tests on the spiritual road
are the patience to wait for the right moment
and the courage not to be disappointed
with what we encounter.

  • Dear Annie,

It does make sense, it makes more sense to me than you can imagine. I have a pretty good idea of how you feel. I’ve been there myself. The feeling is real. Don’t lose hope though. Keep saying to yourself “this too shall pass” and believe it; it will.

    Much love,

    Maria

  • Thank you all for your thoughts, and propositions…
Dear Paul, your story really shook me..i somehow forgot that it is all about perspective and choice..and yes, dear Maria-M, maybe you are right, i should approach everything as a challenge and not get discouraged ‘easily’..but the thing is that when you are really tired trying and feel exhausted and helpless you dont have the energy to fight..at least i think i have lost lots of mine these days..i dont know if anything of these makes sense to you, but i write it with the hope this feeling goes away…
Love to each and everyone of you

  • Annie you say
“Patience…when someone is so anxious to overcome a problem, what does he do then?? And then when the problem persists, and doesn’t go away..how to remain patient? and not be disappointed?”

Anxiety comes from your desire to change what is. You view it as a problem. Try to change your outlook, your attitude and see the “problem” as a challenge. If the problem persists is because it is there to teach you something about yourself, maybe the lesson it brings is “patience”.

Read Paulo’s quote again. He says the “hardest” test on the “spiritual road” is to remain patient and to have the courage to accept the outcome of the situation, or “problem”, even if is not what you expected it to be.

If you haven’t read Veronica Decides to die, I recomend it. For me is one of Paulo’s best books.

  • Yes I agree, I think patience is such a test and then when it finally happens you worry you will be disappointed .But the up side is this while you are patiently waiting great things are going on in the Angelic world ,how could anything God created with his own image be disappointing, its like people that complain about the weather all the time ,but miss seeing the rainbow ..If you worry you will be disappointed then thats what you attract ..as well ..Be positive and trust in the universe i say ..Blessings Tania

    Dear Annie, the whole Universe is Fragile, and here is a story for you (and all);

The Old Indian and the two Wolves

An old Indian tells his grandson a story about a tragedy that happened during his life

He tells him that he thinks about the tragedy often, even though it happened such a long time ago

The grandson asks his grandfather what he feels when he thinks about the tragedy?

The old Indian answered “It is as if two wolves are fighting within my heart” “One of them is angry and full of revenge, and the other is forgiving and a heart full of love!”

The grandson asks him “and which of the wolves in your heart will win the fight”?

The old Indian took a long deep breath and answered…

    “The one that I feed!”

A lesson for us all I think, Lots of Love, Paul xxx

  • Dear Annie
We, women are..fragile, at least some of us.
But the light, the love will show us the way.
All we have to do is to..believe.

    love to you

    Love to all of you

  • Now is precisely the right time for exactly what you are doing. If you didn’t have courage, you wouldn’t be where you are. Dissappointment is just an illusion.

  • Some of us are so sensitive and fragile, that events go faster than an arrow, hurting heart a lot, while the mood have no time to react face to that disappointment or deception. As if it was uncontrolled by us.
Of course, as a boxer, we can stand up again, but still dazed for awhile.

  • So true…although it’s not time that we want to cut short, or courage to face the disappointment, it’s the helping hand, we need sometimes in order to cope with the reality around us. When there’s no one around you that can help, that can understand your dream, it is difficult to go outside and follow the road, no matter how beautiful the road may be.
What we can only hope for, is the angel who’ll bring us the light and this light will make the heart a little brighter.

    love
