How can you compare two people, how can you compare two hearts? Same with writers, musicians…everybody is unique.
You are Unique Paulo,
but if I really wanted to …I would say that Khalil Gibran has the same melody.. same simplicity and same beauty..

True Agnieszka, but thanks to modern day multimedia, Paulo enjoys a much wider audience. Khalil Gibran is one of Paulo’s favourite authors, and has no doubt, along with Casteneda, offered him a great deal of inspiration. Love, Paul
Its part of life that people wish to compare themselves to others whether its writting or singing ,but of course you can look up to someone and admire there work and gain inspiration from them but comparing yourself to others takes away your own special uniqueness,qualities .I think though its important to live your dream ..not some one else’s that you want to be compared too.Learn from others but do it your way .I suppose thats what happens to twins they always get compared to each other ,although they look the same they are both very different .Blessings Tania
I see no similarity in the two writers, and i have been at Khalil Gibran’s home town, read his book, love his writing. What people may see in both is the feeling they perceive in their own heart when they read the two very very different authors.

Kahlil Gibran spoke and wrote in the same wisdom, but often, the flavor is esoteric.
What he was in his time is our Paolo Coelho today. Paolo delivers his messages wrapped in little stories and conveyed as a human experience that any person can relate to. Whether troubled or in a happy state, any human being can find endearment in Paulo’s work because it speaks from the heart, an experience anyone can touch, grasp and hold on to…far more than the written verses of our Bible. Paolo writes about humanity, our grievances, our dreams and quests, our capabilities to forgive, to heal, to be better, to meet our higher selves… and we need to be reminded of the more important things in our lives, the values that matter beyond our jobs, occupations, and earthly goals. I thank God for Paulo, he is His Gift to mankind.
We have lost Paradise and we have come on this planet, through the Path to regain it. We are - each of us - the drop of water, the river going to the sea.On our way we gradually gain our idividuality that makes us unique. Our agonies, our dreams, our sufferings, our exctasis [nice Greek word] reflect on our Soul. A writer reveals and opens his soul… How can we compare any human being with somebody else??? So true.Even if there could be many common elements,each important writer is unique,speciall.Is that the reason for the people search his books.In mine country Literature,almost all poets are compared to Mihai Eminescu,considered to be the genius,the greatest.I also consider him the best,still I think is a mistake doing that comparison.
