By Paulo Coelho
A warrior of the light never acts in a cowardly fashion.
Flight may be an excellent art of defense, but it cannot be used when fear is great. When in doubt, the warrior prefers to risk defeat and then cure his wounds - because he knows that if he runs away, he is giving his aggressor more power than he deserves.
He can cure physical suffering, but will be persecuted forever for any spiritual weakness.
Faced with difficult and painful moments, the warrior faces unfavorable circumstances with heroism, resignation and courage.

No such thing as defeat, only a misconception of reality. Experience is all valuable and failure is simply an illusion.

Doesn’t the warrior take his spiritual weakness and strength, anywhere he goes?
Life.

Dear Anna,
I think it all depends on a situation and on your own character and strength. If you the kind of person who can deal with struggling/fighting, you should go for it because it will always teach you something and strengthen you in the end, but if you’re not, then it is better to evaluate and find out the best solution out of the problem you’re having.
Also it depends whether something is worth fighting for and maybe losing things/people around you.
There’s always a possibility of a loss this way or another. And which loss you can handle it’s always up to you and maybe those around you.
Besides there’s not really such thing as a total lose/win situation; there’s always a bright side of any of them, we just have to have these eyes to see it.

I don’t know… Fighting is definitely braver then running away but looking back at many instances in life I know how by fighting I have gone through some of my darkest and most painful moments when losing that fight…or even winning it…. while avoiding this fight was going to save me a lot of tears and preserve my internal world somehow more innocent. I realize that the fights are what makes us stronger, but they do make us more bitter as well, they do leave a permanent mark on our personalities so what’s the right way to go after all?

Very True -why is that we get persecuted for any spiritual weakness .? Definitely risk defeat than run there is no shame in facing something and at least having a go in the first place ,at least the warrior knows this and learns from it ,he is then more stronger from having been defeated .And yes fully agree with facing unfavorable circumstances with Heroism and Courage its the only way …Blessings Tania

A friend has told me once “fight or flight?? Definitely Flight…!! cause i ve done my nails today :)” ..joke..
It is true that if he avoids the battle because he is afraid, he will regret this for his whole life, and he will not forgive himself..i know, because i still havent , when i ran from all the troubles around me…
It is much more preferable to fight , and even lose, because you will have fought, and you will have given all of yourself in what you believe, in what you want to achieve (dreams) , because these are the ‘things’ that matter most in a warrior’s life… they are what he wants to be…what he really is and he is trying to be that incredibly beatiful person….
Love and Graditute..
Annie
