when men come to visit, they are led through a narrow corridor, sort of like a viewing gallery. all the girls are in a “glass house” doing ordinary things, like talking, or filing their nails, or drinking, etc. the men looks and selects. and apparently, the girls are really quite young and attractive, unlike many of those who flag on the streets. also, it seems the trend has been that there are less locals compelled to do this job nowadays, and more foreigners from neighboring countries who are in this line.
