Adipex Review
Dear Readers,
Here’s a video with the book review of Brida made by an Indian journalist.
Love,
Paulo

I’m a 14 years old girl from Macedonia. I think I’ve grown up with book’s help. I love your books & I’ve learned so many things about living real life & all it’s valuables that give life meaning. Your books have changed my life & showed me the difference between being alive & living your life. All I’ve wanted to say is… you’re the reason why I’ve started reading & educating myself. I’ve read all of your books & I’ve just started reading the last left over- Brida & I’m fascinated of it. I hope all of us will find their way to the magic that keeps world hold out.
Love & kisses/Marija

i just read “Brida”. it’s a very inspiring book, really amazing… it got me thinking about a lot of themes that truly matter in life. i especially loved how it describes soulmates and how can one truly love and follow his path in faith without fear or regret.
i really enjoyed reading Brida, it’s the 8th book ive read for mr.Coelho, but my favourite remains: onze minutes…

I just finished reading Brida [and have about four other books to catch up on.. after getting behind in purchasing them]..
anyway… I was enchanted by the storyline, which did not run from fear or courage..
I was also amazed at the coincidence of the mention of St.John of the Cross right at the point in the story where, in my own life when the issues had been generating, I too came upon the book of poems by st.john of the cross.
and so it is that these coincidences are frequent in Paulo Coelho’s books… they amaze and inspire me - as well as bring me back to reading his books.

Dear Paulo,
I thank u from the bottom of my heart for your books. Magical and mystical, they teach essential life lessons. The religious allegories are just that, props for the stories…..the teachings are timeless. I gained great comfort from ‘brida’, having found myself in the difficult position of finding two soul mates in this life ….i have successfully resolved the issue now and moved ahead.
god bless you. Keep writing! :)

Brida is one of the best books ive read till date. Its become like a Gita to me. Before reading it i was quite unhappy with what was going around me. I lost my Love, I was so lost, dissatisfied with everything. Now im happy. Im happy cos i know that everything has a purpose. Even bad incidents teach you something. They too happen because some good is hidden in that. I know that he came ot help me understand life and the values of life. And i know that he really loves me. Thanks for helping me understand his love ( which i doubted once, im ashamed to say so) . I love you faisal.

Pobiegłam do księgarni…
- Dzień dobry, czy są książki Paulo Coelho? – spytałam.
- Tak, są wszystkie, które przetłumaczono na język polski – usłyszałam od sprzedawcy.
- To ja poproszę te wszystkie…
Pozdrawiam

This is the story of Brida, a young Irish girl (I am sure beautiful, as author has described her very pretty), and her quest for knowledge. She has long been interested in various aspects of magic but is searching for something more. It is tale of love, passion, mystery and spirituality from the master author, Paul Coelho.
I don’t know what I liked about this book but I am going to put some of the text from the book and write what I felt for it… and hope it will give you an insight on what the book is all about,
On one of the page author says,
“…each person can take one of two attitudes; to build of to plant…”
I don’t know how it sounds to you guys but it perfectly right as in our course of action, we take two ways, either to build or to destroy and it’s till destiny we face of the consequences of it. What author about to build is,
“…Life loses it meaning when building stops”, and for to plant he says, “… in history of each plant lies the growth of the world…”
When Author begins the story and introduces the central character of the novel, Brida, 21 years old, he describes her as a teen-ager, in faded jeans and T-shirt. A girl who might be older by thoughts but very pretty and young by looks. She is looking for an answer regarding life…wants to travel in the time. Magus, one of the characters in the novel, who is master of tradition of Sun, leaves in a forest and Brida, is standing in front of him, thinking about him as an interesting man. Question which he asks to Brida and answer which she gives is amazing. Magus asks her what if you fell in love, and in the day I (means Magus) teach you the wisdom of cosmos and in the night he (means someone Brida loves) teaches her wisdom of Love. What if you need to choose any one out of two? Study or your love. And to this Brida replies that she will choose her love. Since she said truth, Magus agrees to teach her. But this part of story keeps all of us thinking, how many times in the life we came across situation, where we need to choose and instead what we do is what pleases certain person, but not to us. Here Brida thought if she said she will move, Magus might not teach her, but instead he agrees. Brida doesn’t think about what’s has not happen yet, but she says what she felt, and how many times we have done that in our life?
Story moves on and Magus becomes teacher of Brida. She takes an important lesson of life and moves back from where she came on a note to come back for further knowledge of the mysterious world. On the city where Brida lives, she gets a chance to meet Wicca, who in contrary to Magus follows the tradition of the Moon. Brida visits her for the more knowledge and knowing Magus was interested in her, Wicca decides to meet her. They talk about the Tarot cards and story of cards. They talk about Soulmate, a part on which this entire novel is based upon. Tradition of Sun, Moon and Soulmate the main pillars of the book. Author carefully tells about the Love at First site and what soulmate is beautifully and makes us believe that there is a science which is out of reach of common man.
Brida, travels back in time, and looks at the past birth of her thanks to the tarots and conversation with Wicca. This makes the chapters even more interesting to read. Wicca again talks of soulmate here and a para which states that is so beautiful that I can’t resist myself mentioning it here
“In the Night of time when we were separated, one of those was charged with nurturing and maintaining knowledge:man. He went on to understand agriculture, nature and the movements of the stars in the sky. Knowledge was always the power that kept the Universe in its place and starts turning in their orbits. That was the glory of man……
….
To Women was given something far more subtle and fragile, but without which knowledge makes no sense at all, all that was transformation. The men left the soil fertile, we sowed trees and soil was transformed into trees and plants
The soil needs the seed, and the seed needs the soil…….”
I don’t know how Paul managed to write so beautiful on the relationship of a man and woman and process of birth. It’s simply amazing.
Brida goes to the Magus again for getting the answers which comes in front of her due to Wicca and Magus is happy to see her, why? (Read the book to get more details)
Brida keeps on taking and talking to Magus and Wicca for her knowledge quest and story moves greatly in to the event of the actions. We also come to know that Dark night is the only way to grow. Dark night if compared with our life, is like, problems which are like dark night can be the only way to grow…
Science of clothes, meaningful things and diary, many things like this keep happening on the following pages and you feel your self tied to the book. Power of love (here, sex) and it says to achieve maximum knowledge you must have felt it… wow… can you believe it, but sometimes even I feel, sex can be a great teacher too…
There are many things in the book that I can talk about and go on and on but that wont be right as, book deserves it share of success and to know more you much read the books, another para which I was very much impress is,
No one can possess a sunset like the one we saw that evening, he went on. Just as no one can possess an afternoon of rain beating against the window, or the serenity of a sleeping child, of the magical moment when the waves break on the rocks. No one can possess the beautiful things of this Earth, but we can know them and love them. It is through such moments that God reveals him self go mankind.
Before I sigh off the review of this book, just last line from the book which I want to quote,
Knowing that you existed was my one reason for continuing to live

Dear Paulo,
This book came to me like magic. At a time when i declared myself as a magus from “Tradition”. All the fear and uncertainty has vanished! It feels like you wrote the book for me. To guide me on my path to magic. Thanks for the hidden messages and awakening the hidden magus’s and witches like me.
I cherish our connection and look forward to meet you soon. As i trust that god will help us meet.
Love, (The language of the universe which you know and i have just begun to learn)

I wonder how anybody who read all Coelho’s books can say Brida leads into religious institutions…on the contrary!
What to say then about The Pilgrimage, The Fifth Mountain, By the River Piedra….etc ?
Evil done in the name of God is just that, evil done by humans in name of God, within or vwithout institutions.
The seed is is within us, it is up to us what to cherish and let grow.
I think that Paulo Coelho’s work is on the right path that lead to better world, to inner strength, to self understanding and it opens our minds to unknown world burried within us.
The fact that his work has nothing to do or it has everything to do with Christianity, does not change the enormous and undoubtful value of his words.

It is one of the very best. It leaves traces permanently.
I loved it. I read all your books except Zahir and The Warrior of the Light.
Brida is for me essential as much as Alchemist. Alchemist opened the door to your world picking me up from my depression and puting me back on the road to optimism, but Brida brought peace to my heart and opened door to my inner self. It made me realize why I am happy though my soulmate is not with me. It made me appreciate the love that exists within me, accept it as enormous magic gift the life gave me and it liberated me once and for all from love pain or any pain at all.
That book is MUST , when you finish it you realize how much it gave you, and it stays with you on and on.
I can not thank you enough for it.
Love

I’ve read and own all of Paulo’s books. I’ve found much inspiration and hope in most of his books until this one. For some reason Brida feels like a compromise of literature from his earlier works. The others had such strong direction and through line or strength of story. I felt a sense of pandering to religion (mostly Christianity) in this novel, something I never experienced before. I’ve always loved the magic and mystery in his books but this time it was all to defined and impossible. There are excellent teachings in all religions but none should be awarded the exclusive privilege of being in a Coelho work. I thought his quest was to help the individual to grow not to lead them into religious institutions that are prejudicial to all other religions. Too much evil is done in the name of god. We need writers like Coelho to keep us on the right path that of love. I recommend the writer and Jungian Robert Johnson (He, She We) and Jostein Gaardner (Sophie’s world and The Christmas Mystery)

I loved the book! It was magical. Truly enchanting and more… It made me think a lot about love and life. I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished and than I wished it lasted longer. Looking forward to the next one, Mr Coelho!

Me encanta ver que en otras partes del mundo leen tus libros, ya lo sabía pero lo que me gusta es ver por ejemplo en la India hablar a las gentes de allí de tus libros.
