? or what others think we are, like Paul the pilot, or Tom the tailor, or Thomas the Doctor, or Francois the Boulanger, or Cindy the Model…..;) We tend to get categorized according to what are seen to be. Rarely does this have anything to do with what we really are, so it’s no wonder that we have trouble sometimes forgetting what we think we are? I am me, myself and no-one else..phew…thank goodness there are not 2 like me ;)
Love & individuality, Paul

We need to take off all the masks we have put on in order to survive!! I wonder will we recognise ourselves and will we be able to enjoy our…freedom?? LOVE THELMA
Maybe we need to forget what we think we are because we are harsh towards ourselves..From experience, i ve been more cruel to myself than to anyone else..
Seferis, a Greek poet, wrote that “i can see the friend and the enemy in the mirror”

And as that songs goes - I did it my way …no one else’s way just be yourself -no pretense ..true blue .We are all individuals /personalities and beliefs but inside us all is the miracle of love ..Just be your own miracle .

I would change your statement to read as follows:-
“We need to forget what we think we are, so that we can discover what we already are.”
All that we think we are is based on nothing more substantial than a collection of thoughts and beliefs, that we have come to accept as being true, without ever really questioning the validity of any one of them. If we were to discard all (and I mean absolutely all descriptions that we could apply to ourself) that we think of as being true, we would not be left with and as nothing; we would be left with and as everything.
