Reflections of the Warrior of the Light – Finding allies

By Paulo Coelho

The warrior knows that no man is an island, isolated in the middle of the ocean.

He knows that he cannot fight alone; whatever his plan, he will always depend on other people. He must discuss his strategy, ask for help and – during times of rest – have someone to tell stories of combat around the fire.

But he does not allow people to mistake his camaraderie with insecurity. He is transparent in his actions, and secret in his plans.

A warrior of the light dances with his companions, but does not transfer the responsibility of his steps to anyone.

    Dear Coelho,
I am Anulal, your student, and a warrior of light.
Thank you my teacher. You told me that thing at that time when I was in the search for the end of my life. I was fed up with it. I know, being a warrior of light, dying with endless dreams in heart is not possible. But life, for me, was some thing like that, which has no ways to move forward. Or I didn’t see any ways to move forward. I was fighting by my own without taking any one on my side. I know such people who, as you said, never take risks and always criticize those who take risks, and assert truths. I know those people too, who take risks and follow their dreams. I decided to take them on my side I mean the second type. Thank you for showing me the sign, teacher, through which I can communicate with my God and continue my pursuit of dreams. Than you once again.
    Yours faithfully,
    Aulal
