Today’s Question by Aart Hilal

by Paulo Coelho on July 7, 2008

You made your characters believed in Omen. Do you personally believe in it as well?

Of course. But you misunderstand a symbol when you try to follow the interpretation that another person gave to it. A symbol is there to talk to your heart, not to your brains. Therefore, if a reader reads any book with his heart, he will understand what is behind the words and sentences.

For me,what’s” behind the words and sentences” is the Essence.

The heart understands all things – reads the signs and sees the Omens ..opens itself to the universe and its magic ,so reading ,seeing and listening ,feeling with all your heart the language of compassion .Blessings Tania

Thank you Thelma & Paul.

We use brain to read a book, though indeed it may talk to our heart.
As for the symbols, they touch heart but also brain. Heart for the gratitude and brain for the sense we can find in it, to go forward. The middle path again.
Symbols are keys. But that’s true I’m not sure we need brain to find the door to unlock.
Another mystery.

Nice week to all of you.

With love.

Omen = a sign of what is going to happen in the future [I am glad my daughter has installed in my lap-top the Oxford Advanced Genie -dictionary].
Omens, oracles, destiny, karma,τύχη, ειμαρμένη, πεπρωμένο..Our logical mind tries to explain them, but life is a mystery and belongs to the Divine Sphere. If we are able to clear the mirror [our soul] we may be able to see in it the reflection of the truth and be able to know the substance. Love, Thelma
