Dear Paulo,
I’m not sure you can spanish, so I write you in English even when it’s not my best. I’m surprise about the last Newsletter. I Know your books after 7 years, and I’ve read almost all. I can’t believe you are agree with this text. Most of men can’t feel as they want because of this kind of ideas… I mean, how many men can’t say “i want to cry” or even cry, without saying because of they are afraid. In your books I have learned that men and women can feel, both of them, the same feelings… This text brokes this idea… and so many others. I don’t love men because of that. I love men, as I love women, because their spirits. And that’s not relacionated with cars, superiority or ideas like that. Just love, remember, like in the “Zahir”. I don’t want to be/feel better than him. I want to be better (person, humain, woman) with him.

I believe he had his tongue in his cheek when he wrote this ;) He is definitely not contradicting that which he has already written.
It is so important that we do not take ourselves too seriously, both men & women alike. We all have our perceived roles & traits but none are the same nor are they consistent.
Paulo often gives us food………for thought ;) & he has a wonderful sense of humour.

Why we love women:
We love women because they can’t separate love and sex; though they may appear to do so, deep down every man knows how a woman truly feels.
Because the world doesn’t need to make sense for them to be happy and at peace; they only need to feel loved.
Because they are often afraid of the dark (or seem to be).
Because they accurately show us the truth of how we feel, by merely being them, even when they are not being true to themselves.
Because all arguments they ever start are only a question of the truth and depth of your love for them.
Because they can raise a man much higher than their high heels would suggest.
Because if ever they have true determination to satisfy a man, they surely will.
Because they will inspire us to move a mountain but be completely satisfied with merely a strawberry dipped in chocolate.
Because they believe love is the answer to everything.
Because in them, all forms of judgement and discernment can happily fall under the heading of nurturing.
Because their hearts are the strongest thing on the planet whilst also the most fragile.
Because they already know exactly what the neighbours think.
Because what they see in half a second of meeting us is whether we may be capable of conquering their soul.
Because they can be multiple people and many things, and yet let a lover know her well.
Because they know how much more important romance is for a man to fall in love than for a woman.
Because they don’t understand football, even when they pretend to or like it.
Because they can withhold who they are forever, or reveal it all in a single moment.
Because they can touch an arm once lightly, and be remembered for it forever.
Because whether they provoke us in a fight or in play, it is with equal enthusiasm.
Because you will never own a woman’s heart, but she may give it to you completely for always.
Because they know how we feel about them, even if they are in another country.
Because they will more likely sleep with a man they don’t know than a man they love who doesn’t yet love them in return.
Because if a man says, “Don’t call me” they will find a reason to call him that would be impossible for him to fault.
Because they know that when a man is courting her, he is also falling in love with himself.
Because they will always flush out the tiniest insect.
Because a hundred of them can all fall for the same man at exactly the same moment.
Because they believe showing their weaknesses is a sign of true strength.
Because they would take the time to provide us with a list of reasons they love men, to let us know the world is perfect as it is.
Paul, thanks. I can’t see before the humoristic side of this newsletter, may I’m in a difficult moment so I could be very sensible about it. I don’t feel good with those ideas… I’m not sure why, but I felt like “women are better”; may because of this: “Because a 14-year-old girl can leave them speechless, and a 25-year-old woman can tame them quite effortlessly.” May it is humour or just a reality; I’m not sure yet.

Not all these statements (for men or for women) are fitting. That’s the wonderful thing about following our dream, there is always someone or something for someone in a given message. Whether we hear it or accept it and do something with or about it, is entirely up to us. I did not mean that all of this is humorous dear Vanlat, merely that we should take some of these statements with a light heart & chuckle a little at the implications.

Meanwhile others may have thought about the deeper sense and truth of this entry, I simply had a lot of fun with it!

Furthermore I discovered characteritics of the “How-women-are-list” that don’t fit at all for me!
Must I worry about me? Consulting the doctor???
I can breathe a sigh of relief - I numbered the characteristics fitting for me in both lists - I am much more of a women than of a man and therefore I can’t help loving these hairy beasts!
All of those food ones are 100% accurate ..:-)…also the secret to empowering a man is to trust him not change him ,just love him , he will still grow and change in his good time -men are like rubber bands thats why we love them …Good newsletter Paulo ..you are funny ..Love Tania

Love Conquers All Things
A soul is not a “thing”, a soul “is”.
The definition of CONQUER is to “defeat”, “take by force”, “gain or secure control of by or especially by force”, to “overcome or surrmount by physical force”.
To conquer a persons soul by exploration of anothers body, is therefore to me, NOT an act of love.
p.s. it’s a bit confusing to have two feedback forms in different places for effectively the same item
Primero disculparme por no mutilizar el ingles, pues no lo domino, a penas domino el castellano, si alguien puede que lo traduzca.
Es muy femenino buscar motivo a los hechos cotidianos.
Como este, en el fondo, la pregunta ¿por quer amamos a los hombres?, para mi encierra mas aun.
Hace poco una compañera de trabajo me pregunto si habia alguna forma de desenamorarse de un hombre.
En este caso es debido a la desatencion de su marido, pues ella enamorada de el desde los 14 años, lo ama intensamente auna ahora que tiene 50 años, mas el ya parece haber perdido el interes por ella, eso a pesar de que segun he podido saber, ella hizo que su padre le diera trabajo en su empresa, despues se caso con el a peasr de no haber terminado la carrera ó a pesar de no haber terminado la carrera, despues cuando tenian dos hijos pequeños, ella estudio (durante dos años) y aprobo una oposicion para tener un trabajo con la unica finalidad de que el dejase de trabajar y se dedicase solo a estudiar y terminar la carrera. Despues de terminar la carrera de medicina el siempre anda ocupado y no tiene tiempo para ella, que siempre ha sido rica y no tenia necesidad de trabajar, sus hijos se han hecho mayores y su casa templo del amor entre ella y su marido esta vacia.
Por eso ella desde el dolor de la mayor infamia soportada, me preguntaba si podia desenamorarse de un hombre, o de otra forma por que queremos a los hombres y yo me uno a ella como nos pueden amar.
Llegado hasta aqui solo me da la respuesta el antiguo testamento, que dice algo asi como;
…por eso te veras abocada al hombre y pariras con dolor…
