What were the greatest difficulties you faced during your career as a writer?

To take the decision itself. It is good to have a dream, but it demands a lot of courage to try to live your dream.

To give each word that you say its own meaning which will be your meaning, to live each moment that you live with your heart instead of living it only with your mind and body; to trust in you every day, not because you need to be trusted by some one else, but because you need to trust yourself, because is a dream that you’ve ever had becoming a need…When you fullfill your own dreams, as fullfilling your needs, overcoming objections that also you have setted, then, and maybe, only after then, is when you can say that you faced out the biggest difficulty on your life not only as a professional, but as a human been…Then your will be able to say that you had, and started having the courage to live!!

Love and blessings to you all!! Elisa

My dearest Annie, your answer has reminded me of a poem of ORESTIS LASKOS [Ορέστης Λασκος, 'Τό Παρίσι'], THE PARIS!!! Εvery possibility lies in our hearts…..Dreams are necessary in order to be able to continue living and our souls always live in heaven and stars. Dreams are the world of Utopia and reality is alawys poorer in comparison to them. LOVE, THELMA
p.s. have your ..heard the beautiful…’O SOLE MIO’with Pavarotti and Bryan Adams?? in my answer above? with music we can express everything…T.

Courage to live your dream is so unique to the individual – our upbringing, our values and our hearts or instinct. I think it becomes courage when we allow the instinct to challenge and overtake the learned patterns and fears of our experiences as well as the social or economic values with which we are surrounded. It is in those moments of stepping out of our patterns and comfort structures to step into ourselves that we are living our dreams. I think our heart envisages our dreams without our minds always knowing it. I am also a writer … journalist-turned-communications professional … and keeping this as a constant check-point at the gate of my career decisions has brought immense happiness and satisfaction to my life. Writing is such a gift and treasure around which to build a living – and the best writers are those who listen for and live by that purpose that compels one to write – that need deep down in your heart to bring greater clarity, connectiveness and a shared sense of purpose to the world.

A dream exists in our fantasy..The crucial time is the time that we have to make decisions. The crossroads… To dare to leave behind the ‘easy way’ of blaming others or destiny for our misery and to set ourselves free..LOVE, THELMA
