This means to transform ourselves from ígnorant beings that are driven by life, to the wise ‘Warriors of Light’. You are right, Maria, in Greek : Γνώθι σαυτόν. LOVE, Thelma
Well, my friends and I have spent a terrible year of dead-end jobs, break-ups and death. So every time we got together we used to complain about what we’ve become, and feel nostalgic for the things we used to do.
I think you’re right. I think it’s time we let go of the nostalgia, realize who we are now, and make the most of it.
Thank you Paulo.
reading your books I became very happy. Imagine: in 43 I felt in love with former school-mate.
I met him and I had wanted to fascinate him. I hope I have fascinated him :-)You wrote: when you wnt something, the whole universe helps you. I believe it. By, Len
Just to please Maria ;)
Of course as time moves on, we move on and we change, and so do our thoughts, our needs, our desires… Who we were has helped to shape who we are, the essence is to acknowledge what was and be grateful for what is. For some (and you know who you are ;) it is also very important to stop being what others want you to be, and be yourself, and live your life… not theirs! Only then do you have a chance to achieve “your” dream.
Love & live your life, Paul
The way I read into this quote is by thinking that people carry a lot of baggage and beliefs that are based on that baggage (and they become so deeply rooted that they become part of who we are, our belief system, not always being questioned). And then people define themselves by this baggage and these beliefs. Defining yourself by these things keeps you from being present and open to who you really are today - because, essentially, you are perpetuating an illusory “self” from the past, while blocking the potential and real “self” from today.
The person who chose those beliefs is in the past. Who are you today and what do you choose to believe? Including your beliefs about yourself and who you are.
KNOW THY SELF …
AND ALL WILL BE ADDED
But I am who I were and always be.
If it wasn’t for my past, it wouldn’t be for my future.
But for today, now, I am what I am.
Enjoy your weekend Peeps.
I understand, Thanks

it´s dificult… to some times realise who we are….
How often do I realise myself that I live in the past while I’m talking about who I were…?
Now I do.
Thank you.

Who we become is divine substance - the only reality .

I see it this way: when where able to use what we´ve learned in our past, we can use it as keys to open who we are and who we can become.
