Hey, you are a good singer! Desafinado is not easy to sing; I play it on the flute and I had to exercise some time to handle it.
My daughter also likes Jobim very much. Her favorite CD is one of Gilberto singing songs of Jobim. She heared it so often, that she can sing along by heart. I imagine it would be very amusing for you to listen to her – I wonder if you could understand something of the words, because she sings in Portugues, but does not know what the words means at all.
It all began when I was pregnant and went to the clinic. My husband took this Jobim CD to play it during the cildbirth to keep me relaxed. The CD was playing, I was not relaxed at all, but my daughter later always wanted to hear this CD again and again – and so it is till today. She is eight years now. I guess you call it conditioning or imprinting in english.
Your books especially The warrior of light changed my life, When can u come to New Zealand ?
superstition/tradition.. I don’t know what other authors do before they start writing… More obvious is perhaps the habits of the competitors in athletics.
Writing… the balance between simplicity and complexity… finding your language and still make it different for every caracter… liberating yourself from everything you know about literature and let your heart speak…
The words you pass to us are like sunbeams in a forest… every reader a different forest.

COOL….
My best wishes for the new book. Thank you, for sharing the ritual of the white feather with us. You are saying that with the internet the privacy does not exist any more, but for you, being an artist is a reality, because you have already opened your soul, in your books. LOVE, THELMA
Dear Paulo,
I find this ritual of yours very interesting and funny too. :-) Interesting because it seems to me that you express your gratitude by caressing each sheet of paper. It’s a sort of mixing natural elements: earth from the paper and air from the feather and many others, why not?
It seems to bring peace inside you (white dove=freedom, peace etc.)
It’s just my opinion, you probably don’t think about the reasons, just do it because it resonates with your interior and relaxes you.
It’s funny because I do the same thing when cooking some pastry and need to “caress” each sheet with a feather or more with oil on it/them. It is such a pleasant sensation, of softness and flowing… :-)
Good luck with your new book and may God send you lots of blessings into your life! ;-)
Lots of hugs and all the best in the world!
Affectionately,
Carmen Larisa
Great ritual -these all help connect you to the divine ..and it looks like this is the way it works for you…Blessings Tania
Hola Paulo:)
How many sheets of paper do you do with the feather? How did you decide what number should it be? ;)
Tanja :)
