Damien,

This poem is dedicated to someone, a very long time ago. He died.
I was in pain, for a lot of reasons, and very passionate.
My “hate” was not directed towards him.
I think you misunderstood completely. But then, if you’ve been
there, you would understand. It is not my role to explain, just to write. I get a lot of reactions, but nobody takes it litterally or personal. That’s what my poetry is about. That’s why I put no title. If you feel what it is about you can guess the title. If not, my poetry was simply inaccessible to you.
Nevertheless, thanks for your reaction.

I live near a railway. There is an asylum for psychiatric patients. Full moon used to result in suicides, therefore they installed a hughe fence, so people cannot throw themselves in front of the trains anymore. We used to hear the horrible sound of the trains frantically breaking when it happened. Every maternity department knows more babies are born with full moon. And indeed, every artist, like myself, feels it too. I get the blues with full moon, when feeling lonely, and I think of the people I lost. Sometimes I am able to paint good stuff. If the moon regulates the tides of our seas, then it has certainly an effect on us ? That is science, not mumbojumbo.

The Moon
to look upon the moon at night is to check one’s health/well being of one’s soul…

Whenever I look to the moon and am not seeing my mother’s light reflected, it is because I have drifted from myself, my connection to the Earth, land etc…

I am never lonely and always happy when I see the moon shine with the light of my mother reflecting back… no matter where I may be; and this is perhaps because I am grounded and connected, embodied, whole…

the opposite is also, of course, true…

This is a dream I once had which I think has many symbols in it. : I was sitting in our front porch with a couple of Muslim ladies, family and two young men who had what first seemed to be black and white pentagram balls but then seemed like maracas with beads in them – they used them to pray with. Then they passed one to me to use but after a while the maraca disappeared from my hand and my hands seemed joined at the knuckles. Then as though something were controlling them my finger turned palm to palm in prayer position. I looked up at the sky and saw 5 moons.

I think the dream came partially as a consequence of mass I went to for Mother Mary. I learnt at this mass that we are meant to pray the Rosary for the first 5 months of the year. I never quite understood why that was. But I later thought about the 5 moons in the sky and how it all related. My idea is that prayers have strength in unison and that by asking people to pray the rosary (which I think is like meditation) together, the first Saturday of the month, then it will have effect – like a calming effect.

The Moon is linked with the Romantic poets,poetry.Symbolize ,under the shape of Queen of the night,dream,imaginary world,phantasie,Love.The difuze light emited by the Moon,is giving an atmosphere of uncertainty,of magic.Usually is seen as a Godess.Lovers are bent to search the magical atmosphere of a night with moon light.Also I know the pearl is linked to the Moon,both are symbols of femininity.

If you take the position that there is no such thing as opposition, then you would view everything as a complimetn of everything else. You would choose to view unity rather than separation, love rather than rejection. Human beings do their best to perrpetuate their conditioned beliefs. It is meaningful to learn to step outside them and reframe what no longer makes sense to the person you know yourself to be.

As a child i’d sit in the backseat of a moving car on many nights and i truly believed the moon followed me wherever i went. Today that has’nt changed and i’ve found the moon an object of contemplation at certain times when my life has changed. It has always been easy for me to feel a part of the celestial body and dependent on it’s power in difficult transitions.

The moon is our gentle guardian. I pray to the goddess embodied as the moon. As long as the moon enlightens the dark, I feel safe and watched over. Because of its feminine aspect, I prefer it over the sun. I prefer silver over gold, coolness over warmth. As it goes through its cycle from crescent to full and back to crescent, it reminds me that life is a cycle as well. Women tend to cycle with the tides of the moon and the ocean. I am in love.
