I’ve been checking in internet that people are fond of making lists, so I would like for you to tell us your favorite lists and also to elaborate on the elements of this.
To love the family
To love the friends
to love my dogs
To dream to open eyes
to fight for my dreams
to try my road
To make good readings
To listen to music
to eat the pizza!
to laugh to be in company
to enjoy the life
I’ve conjured a “weird” Bucket List on my blog, for those who are interested in its contents. Basically, the list contains 100 of the weirdest tasks you’ll find, which I’ll have to do before I “kick the bucket”.
Morbid intentions aside, the list is just another way to entertain and spice up my life; you have a life, why not live it to the fullest?
Mi lista:
1-mi familia
2-reir,cantar, hablar, pasear y pasar el tiempo con mis amigos
3-leer todo tipo de novelas
4-viajar a sitios conocidos y no conocidos
5-escribir y recibir e-mails y cartas
6-escribir cuentos (cuando la inspiración se alia con el tiempo y las ganas)
7-ir al cine
Es breve pero son las cosas que más me gusta hacer.
*****************************************************
My list:
1-my family
2-laugh, sing, talk, walk and spend time with my friends
3-read all kinds of novels
4-travel to sites known and unknown
5-write and receive e-mails and letters
6-write stories (when the inspiration is combined with the time and desire)
7-go to cinema
My favorite list is a list of the things that bring me the most tremendous joy:
1.
- the conciousness of being alive
- to open my eyes and my soul, being able to feel God’s presence, people and nature around me
2.
- spend time with my soulmate - my boyfriend, of 20 years now, and husband - without doing anything, just enjoying eachother’s presence and feeling eachother: touching, smelling, sharing the moment…- walking in a forest
- take a seabath, away from the coast, preferently naked
- dancing
- singging
- reading and writing
- praying with a group of close friends
- being pragnent
Lists are popular among bloggers and blog readers alike because they are both simple to compose and easy to read and digest. My most recent post is simply a list of things I observed last Thursday. I don’t like to list things that are overtly self-descriptive because I don’t think we always know ourselves as well as we think we do. I list my observations instead because I believe they more accurately tell my story to those who care to know it, and provide simple entertainment for those who don’t.
God, love, music, dance, dreams, smile, hope, kindness, the ocean breeze, the smell of flowers, butterflies, the touch of sand, the sun, the wind, the fire, the moon, the rain, the world,.. the rainbow of ..life.
actually i don’t have a list, having one is like imposing barriers to what we could really want or need or even to what life could offer!
I think that we shouldn’t have a list but some marks to deal with and to evolve around!!
Well that’s what i think!
PS:sorry for my english !!:)
I have 2 lists that are important to me. The first is a continous list of things I need to do for work. I keep it with me at all times, and when something pops into my head that needs to be done I write it down. Many of my friends think this is a problem because I need to spend less time thinking about work. However, what they do not understand is that this list allows me to do that. Whenever something pops into my head that needs to be done, it will never leave until I have done it. However, by writing it down I can foget about it until I am back at work and enjoy whatever it is that I am doing.
My second list is a list of my Rules for Life. These are just a collection of rules that I have picked up through my travels in this world. Several of them a good quotes I heard from others that I try to apply to my life every day, others are of my creation as a result of direct expirences I have had. Here is my list of Rules for Life:
#1: Everything you do in life you do because you choose to do it.
#2: The only road worth travelling is the road that leads to you.
#3: Your friends in life are the ones who are always there for you and will support you, your true friends in life are the ones who will tell you when you are messing up. Know who is who in your life.
#4: Never go cheap on your shoes or your bed, you spend half your life in one or the other.
#5: Take 10 minutes everyday just for yourself.
#6: Live your life the right way and all your dreams will come true.
#7: Be honest with yourself, until you can do that you will not be honest with others.
#8: If you never lie you will never have to remember what you said.
#9: Your actions are what define you.
#10: In the end it will not matter as much where you ended up but how you got there.
#11: Be carefull of those who surround themselves with people they are obviously better than.
#12: The people you surround yourself with, are a direct reflection of who you are and who you want to become.
Thats my list as this point…but over the remaining years in my life it is sure to grow.
Mr. Coelho you have to see the movie “The Bucket List” it’s a movie about writing a list before you kick the bucket (before you die). Funny, you mentioned this because it’s something I have been wanting to do recently, sitting down and writing my list of things I want to do, see, and experience before I kick the bucket :) have a good day!
I remember my teacher when asked us to tell our favorite books of one writer. We did a kind of a top 10,and who read said it.In the end, teacher told us it doesnt mattered what was our favourite, just she wanted to check who read the books.Maybe we can try to do some list in the same way?
mmm..My favourite lists…
1. What to take with me on vacation, cds and stuff..
2. of thoughts for the day that passed by
3. of songs that are sang now in my heart (and then in my mind, and then i wait for the sowing and the growing and the harvest)
4. of negative thoughts, that i feel, whenever somthing bad happens, and so i write them down and then i throw it in the garbage, so that negative thoughts go where they belong
5. of things when i go to supermarket, i dont wanna spend much time there so i write what i need down and grab them ..
However, o dont believe i m so much the ‘list type’, cause i dont tend to be organised…
However, when i m really down , i tend to look on a piece of paper that i have written something that Paulo Coelho says to The Valkyries “Never raise again your hand against yourself..”

Lists leave the impression that everything from there can be controlled, that somehow you can have some sort of organizing, a little bit of discipline. I love making all sorts of lists, especially shopping lists! The cute thing is that it seems that they are made to be forgotten at home… ;-)
I have lists with my desires for the future, some levels with all sorts of things, from sums of money to daily pleasures. I always love to circle them when one is complete and go to another level, it seems to be so much fun! Some lists are written, some are only in my head.
But the funniest thing that happens to me is that most of the time I forget about them completely and act spontaneously. I guess this is the best part of lists, when you just forget about them and live your life enjoying your freedom! :-)

I have a list of 100 random things that bring me joy. These things vary from the very shallow (food cravings) and the profound (holding hands). It started out with a great friend who inspires.
I would request you Paulo, Please do not get directed by what people do in Internet but what you would like people to give from you using Internet.
To answer your question of making the favorite list. I would like to say that, there is nothing favorite for me and nothing not favorite for me. Because, Take an example of “food in front of you”. The food itself is not bad or good, it is our taste and feelings or behavior towards the food that gives an impression that it is bad or good.
I know every humans will have different list because the Difference always comes with the numbers. In the world where we should subtract the differences; we care multiplying it.
It is not good idea to sea in such a way. The taste of humans cannot be made common and none of “my interest” will match with “her interest” or “your interest”. Even if some of the things match others will remain as it is.
See one another example of your hands. A human has two hands and have you noticed that, in one hand there are 5 fingers. All these 5 fingers are different and they do not match. They are different. Today, the world has been divided just like those five fingers of a single human hand. But wait a moment, have you noticed the other hand ? There is another hand with the same types of 5 fingers and those look exactly the same as of the other hand with the 5 different fingers.
Now, if you see difference in each of them how would you be able to write, ride, play, pray, work and clap. Tell me. Please see the similarities and do not see any differences.
My own life, is solely based on the concept of seeing the similarities and not the differences in anything that my sense allow me.
If you ask me what is your favorite list I would not be able to see the difference and make a list but since I read all those comments and I too have to make one to see the similarities in what others are doing, here is what I would say-
dear paulo
i hav many things with me now………..my god{i always want to believe he’s mine}my mom my dad and my siblings…..yes my home……but i have never tried to list the things i realy need.do you know why? its just bcoz i hav never been away frm them.so i dont know whether i really need them or not.im just here ………enjoying every moment. but i never want to get rid of these joys tears funs and frolics perhaps frm my responsibilities.i always believe they need me………so im happy to be here.its really great to be loved by some…….to be wanted by some, right? its greatest to be in somebody else’s list. so i feel great when my daddy wants me to be near him, when my mamma says she misses me, when my little brothers ask help in their homework, when my friends telephone me for my support. i feel im the loveliest then.and only for these reasons , i believe im selfish. [.....selfish to be loved] and for including me in their lists, i love them all very dearly. and i list everything i love.
so my list is long and it begins with my god
love

Without them I am lost. I am a woman and need to talk about my stuff. Debate about life and things that happen every day. They are my motor when I Dont have the strenght to run the show.
My # 5 will be my future husband.
I can much elaborate on this because I am not married yet nor engaded. But, I think i know who he is, not quite convinced. I will keep you post it on that.
Question: Do you think that when we meet the one, we know right away? or we need to take time to make this decision?
My # 6 is food, wine and Dessert.
I love it… I appreciate good food, good wine and good dessert.
My # 7 would be the green and humind forest.

I think this list is too long and not enough time o finish it. but, pretty much the essential and things that matter are here.
When I have to looking for lists, I always try to found list with good books and dvds, in special for kids, because I am a mother (in the very first place). But the kind of lists I make are more like letters that I have to reply (or people who never write back, but I write few lines anyway because I understand their reasons to not write) and list of tasks for the week or next day (because I can’t even remember my full name after nine oçlock.
That’s all.
I´m addicted to lists… The first thing i do when I arrived to the office is a list of things i have to do… Then I have a list of places i wanto to visit and for last a bucket list.

My favourite list is the one I made when I was a child. It’s about the things I wanted to achieve in life.
It is my favourite list because now I am trying to accomplish most of what it sais. Some of it is of no importance for me anymore but it used to be so I’m doing it for her, the little girl I once was.
I think everyone should have a list of things they want to see accomplished in life - no matter what age you are - it gives you something to strive for.
Dear Carmen Larissa,
I agree with you. I interpreted the question as the favorites list of things that I like, but the lists are present in our life: things to do, books to read, films to see … and as you says, always include improvisation …
1. Health
2. Happyiness
3. FOLLOWING DREAMS
4. Family
It may be a short list, but i think that these are the most important things in my life. =) I thank God that i’m healthy, happy, that i have te courage and the strength to folow my dreams and that i have a big happy family.

I was born in Ethiopia and grow up here in UK. I am 33 years old and educated in highest level in film production. In 2005 I went back to Ethiopia to produce a documentary film about my past life and in the process to find my long lost family. Thank-god my mother is a life and I made the documentary film titled ‘Mothersland’ ww.mothersland.net which I would like to post it to you, if you email me your contact address.
My dream is to create an academe of the art which it will offer young Ethiopians the benefit which I am blessed with. The Ethiopian government has given me a put of land for this prepuce. Now I desperately need your help that of social entrepreneur around the world, like Taddy Bancher and Bunker Roy (who I have been in contact with) to create this academe quickly possible before more people die without education or hope etc……
I usually have lists of things to do and failed getting done half of them, I think the ratio is ok.
This is my list of things that I have
1. a great family
2. lots of travel, many countries I have visited
3. freedon of debts
4. few friends
5. hope
6. some books to be read

My dearest Paulo Coelho and friends [especially ANNIE from ... Greece and Paul from Austria}, I am back home again and in front of my lap-top. I missed you so much. I searched, of course, in London [we were the ..proud parents, at our younger daughter's -28 years old- PH.D. of Law ceremony, at King's College London], for “the Maqus”, but I couldn’t find it. It seems that I will have to wait for the Greek translation, next year.?? I am also looking forward to the ..”Winner is alone..”[of course always the winners are alone, feeling the envy of the others]. But to be alone is the destiny of every soul on this Planet… Thank you, Samina for “Christian the lion”.
Lists : I like the lists for invitations to parties, to weddings, for the presents we have to buy… I hate my lists in my diary, every new year for the Bills and Taxes … LOVE, THELMA. P.s. Dear Paulo Coelho, I was amused at you saying that you look tired, because of the…light… I say the same thing, trying to ..forget me, getting old! Thelma.
*trees–the very scent and sight of green brings new life to me.
*family–and learning to appreciate those who have always been in my life.

*music–and the way, if you really surrender yourself, you can feel it flowing *through* you.
*God–and the constant journey to be nearer to His love.

have an impact like Gandhi, Martin Luther King or Mother Teresa, yes thats my dream to die for humanity!!! & you Sir Paulo have certainly added more fuel for the fire burning inside me
1.- El Alquimista.
2.- A orillas del Río Piedra me senté y lloré.
3.- 11 minutos.
4.- Verónica decide morir.
5.- El demonio y la Señorita Prim.
6.- El Zahir.
7.- La Bruja de Portobello.
8.- El diario de un mago.
9.- Maktub.
10.- Ser como el rio que fluye.
11.- La quinta montaña.
12.- Brida.
El orden de esta lista cambia constantemente, excepto en el número 1.
1. a car
2. a driver’s license (this explains 1, or vice-versa)
3. a girlfriend
4. any kids (fine with this so far)
5. a place in the world where I want to live
6. clear goals
7. nice belts
8. enough will to start learning the languages I want to learn like french or italian
9. hope that everything will be better in the future (this might explain why I don’t want to have kids)
The list of things I don’t have has beaten the list of things I do have, I have been clearly unfair :) so I will fix that
Addition to previous list of things I have (so I don’t feel bad about it)
9. Enough time to do the things I want
10. a cute dog back at home, though several thousand km from here
11. best brother
12. some strange ability to maintain communication with ex girlfriends, some should not talk to me again
My list is somehow radical, and I can do nothing about it.
I’m always listing what i would do (if i have the power) to make life worth living.. what myself really wants.. what my wildest dreams are.
If I was free to choose my fate, I would:
1- destroy mecca. And set obeying all the terroristic islamic muhammad teachings as a crime.
2- travel across the earth with a small bag for years.
3- meet different people from different countries.
4- Get in a close personal relationship with God.
5- find my true love.
6- marry.
7- settle in the someplace like US and have children.
8- determine my only profession as a writer.
9- serve my country.
10- love my children.
11- die.
So, my list begins with destroying islam, proceeds to finding “life”, love, and God, then marriage and children, then to die in peace.
Somehow radical, isn’t it? And as for my life in an islamic country seems unachievable.
Dear Sir Paulo Coelho!

For those interested, visit http://metallic-stains.blogspot.com or simply click on my user name (it’ll link you instantly).
Cheers, Mr Paulo and keep writing inspirational books!

I list my observations instead because I believe they more accurately tell my story to those who care to know it, and provide simple entertainment for those who don’t.
hummmmm
God, love, music, dance, dreams, smile, hope, kindness, the ocean breeze, the smell of flowers, butterflies, the touch of sand, the sun, the wind, the fire, the moon, the rain, the world,.. the rainbow of ..life.

actually i don’t have a list, having one is like imposing barriers to what we could really want or need or even to what life could offer!
I think that we shouldn’t have a list but some marks to deal with and to evolve around!!
Well that’s what i think!
PS:sorry for my english !!:)

my list is :
living;
loving;
knowing;
searching;
walking;
winning (when possible) the battles of life.
have a nice day all of you.
Dear Samina…amazing video!!!
No matter how wild you are there’s always gentleness and love in your heart.

The 10 Commandments… because they are absolutely instinctive… and a great guide for humans, even if you are not a Christian by faith…
Otherwise, my daily “To do” list… at the top of which is always, be thankful for this new day…
Love, not necessarily lists, but things to do ;) Paul
mmm..My favourite lists…

Lots of hugs,
Carmen Larisa
P.S. Lots of good luck with your new book! But why is the winner alone? I guess we’ll have to wait and see… :-)
Não entendo. Por que não um site em português?

If you ask me what is your favorite list I would not be able to see the difference and make a list but since I read all those comments and I too have to make one to see the similarities in what others are doing, here is what I would say-
“Earth”, “Satisfaction”, “Nature” and “Women”.
dear paulo
i hav many things with me now………..my god{i always want to believe he’s mine}my mom my dad and my siblings…..yes my home……but i have never tried to list the things i realy need.do you know why? its just bcoz i hav never been away frm them.so i dont know whether i really need them or not.im just here ………enjoying every moment. but i never want to get rid of these joys tears funs and frolics perhaps frm my responsibilities.i always believe they need me………so im happy to be here.its really great to be loved by some…….to be wanted by some, right? its greatest to be in somebody else’s list. so i feel great when my daddy wants me to be near him, when my mamma says she misses me, when my little brothers ask help in their homework, when my friends telephone me for my support. i feel im the loveliest then.and only for these reasons , i believe im selfish. [.....selfish to be loved] and for including me in their lists, i love them all very dearly. and i list everything i love.
so my list is long and it begins with my god

Dear Pablo,
You made me think today that I have ever wrote a list of the things I love since Junior high School 8 years ago. Its funny that you say that people like to make such lists.
My # 1 favorite is Siloe.

Hello,
Hi Paulo, I once read a book from a norwegian writer that talks a lot about lists, the book is very cute and funny.

Thelma.

MIS LIBROS FAVORITOS
1.- El Alquimista.
2.- A orillas del Río Piedra me senté y lloré.
3.- 11 minutos.
4.- Verónica decide morir.
5.- El demonio y la Señorita Prim.
6.- El Zahir.
7.- La Bruja de Portobello.
8.- El diario de un mago.
9.- Maktub.
10.- Ser como el rio que fluye.
11.- La quinta montaña.
12.- Brida.
El orden de esta lista cambia constantemente, excepto en el número 1.
I will try and complete the list.
This is the list of things that I don’t have.
1. a car
2. a driver’s license (this explains 1, or vice-versa)
3. a girlfriend
4. any kids (fine with this so far)
5. a place in the world where I want to live
6. clear goals
7. nice belts
8. enough will to start learning the languages I want to learn like french or italian
9. hope that everything will be better in the future (this might explain why I don’t want to have kids)
So the damage is fixed now.
My list is so simple:
* Mother
* Books
*Laptop & Net
*Someone to care about me
…It is so simple !!!!
I like Luce’s lists <3
This is fun..umm
Love.
the laughter of children - the period of time when your communication with your child is not by words
the wrinkles on a elders hand - their stories
happening upon an animal in the wild - a deer in the evening, using your body to feel your surroundings
the woods - my green cathedral, where I talk to God
poetry - images that come through the pen in a frenzy
dreams - where a lot of my work is done
dancing - celebrating life through movement, allowing music to move you
Sun - on my skin warm, glowing, energizing me
wind - in my hair erotic, against my skin softly, speaking through the trees, carrying our prayers, wishes
I could go on :)
I have never been the type of person to make lists…I do not know why…what else is worthy of listing but LOVE.
