” And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to Heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it…”Genesis 28:12

I’ve always been fascinated by Jacob’s ladder/cat’s cradle - that little yarn trick you learn as a child, you stick your hand in the center and poof you are free..we learn a lot as children

‘this place is terrible’ I wonder if the stone was quartz

    Yes beautifully depicted. Thank you.

I have been privileged to learn the importance of the spaces between the rungs on the ladder, for there in between… the pause… lie the real Gems… the lessons… the answers… on how to climb…

Love, & pay good head to the messages between the lines, Paul

when i saw this Picture,i just remember my mother use to sing me a song when i regret doing anything or when i’m out of my mind asking questions that makes no sense….Gosh i forgot that song..it goes something like this “We are climbing Jacob’s ladder, we are climbing jacob’s ladder,we are climbing jacob’s ladder…soldiers of the Cross…” thanks for this picture this song came back to me!

    love you Paul!!

Thanks for this idea of linking literature to the other arts, like painting.good choise of immages.About the dream,I will say that I can find the axis mundi in it,that is a Christian version of it.The ladder to the sky,the connection to heaven and earth, spiritual and material.Angels are the messengers of Divinity.I would Like to know more.bye

The symbol of incarnation and the ladder that leads to the Light. In Orthodox church it the ladder represents the bridge from the spiritual world to the material world and also we show our respect to Maria the Mother of Christ who is the Holy Bridge. LOVE, THELMA
