I think that the fist proverb say if somebody hurts you, it’s not good idea help him to hurt you.
If somebody bit you and you hit his head the tooth press your hand a lot…

I think I understand, although why does someone is biting your hand in the first place? and also isn’t it the first reaction, the impulse, when someone is attacking you?

I think that someone biting your hand it’s a image to say someone attack you. And yes,it’sthe first impulse, but we must not strike, we must open the mouth of which are you bitten … I think that is to say that we have to think before acting opposite an attack … Or not? the truth is that it’s a good question …

… in fact they will bite down even harder..
that is my interpretation .. bit gruesome really :(
