    These two proverbs are really interesting :-) and are really true.

    I’m not sure I understand the first but the second..
    when you don’t see from where the roar is coming, you can only presume the way to run..?

    If someone is biting on your hand; the pain won’t be stopped by fending them off (strike the head?)
    … in fact they will bite down even harder..

    that is my interpretation .. bit gruesome really :(

    I think that the fist proverb say if somebody hurts you, it’s not good idea help him to hurt you.
    If somebody bit you and you hit his head the tooth press your hand a lot…
    I’m not sure if I explain it well… :-)

    I think I understand, although why does someone is biting your hand in the first place? and also isn’t it the first reaction, the impulse, when someone is attacking you?

    Dear Agnieszka,

    I think that someone biting your hand it’s a image to say someone attack you. And yes,it’sthe first impulse, but we must not strike, we must open the mouth of which are you bitten … I think that is to say that we have to think before acting opposite an attack … Or not? the truth is that it’s a good question …
