Today’s Question by Aart Hilal

Does the power of prayer still represents something essential in a world filled with injustice and cruelty?

My favorite prayer is “Immaculate Conception give me strength to fight injustice and cruelty”.

The prayer brings peace to the soul, peace of mind, gives answers and understanding when something like cruelty or injustice takes place.

The energy, the power of prayer, even without words. It is the constant unison with “Our Father..”, the Light. LOVE, THELMA

Prayer is a direct, personal call with the Divine level in our selves and all around us and essential for anyone who wants to connect with this level of consciousness inside themselves. Speaking from your heart with sincere words with the Divine is an extremely vital and powerfull thing to do and find.

A little more. The world is filled with much darkness - and also with much light. Polarities are becoming more extreme due to the times we live in. As I see it, prayer is essential today as one of the vital ways to connect with whatever is Divine for us. Maybe the battle is so visible around and outside us. And really - it mirrors the battles that go on inside ourselves. What do we choose - to be part of the problem or to be part of the solution? To let darkness rule or to be the change we want to see in this world? Maybe prayer is a very vital tool here…

I don’t belong to any particular religion, but I believe words are powerful if they have a meaning to the one who’s saying it. I don’t know if it counts as a prayer but my mum used to sing to me a mantra when I was little, so when I want something or feel I want to comunicate with God I sing this mantra. OM NAMAH SHIVAYA.

    Yes,
the world is “filled with injustice and cruelty” because people dont’ pray. Praying we become less unjust and cruel.

For Sibila Maria India: thank you for the synthesis “What do we choose, to be part of the problem or to be part of the solution?”

The key is “we choose”, I think.

    Love

Dearest Thelma, it doesn’t matter which interpretation of Avia Maria I hear, they all move me incredibly. I think it’s the most moving piece of music ever written… and here’s another remarkably interesting interpretation for you… enjoy. Love, Paul

Dear Paul from Austria, Thank you so much for the Ave Maria of Bobby Mc Ferrin. It is the first time that I have listen to it. It is marvellous. Next time I will be playing the Bach’s Prelude, I will think of Ave Maria in the background. LOVE, THELMA.

I like to think that a prayer is letting God know what is going on in the world. It’s communication to give thanks, to ask for help, to understand, to improve.
