Doesn't the lion with wings represent “resurrection” in Christianity?
(I had a dog that looked like this – barr the wings, sorely missed)
lower nature resurrected by the inspiration of divine scripture?. . .

Lion is one of the mightest animal,king of the animals from the jungle.Thats make this image more expressive,the tough rough lion,obedient in front of spiritual power,very touching.
