You have also spoken about “empty spaces.” But aren’t some inner spaces better left empty? Do you agree? How important is an understanding of the inner organisation for you as a writer and also as a human being?
Of course I do. Who doesn’t? The whole problem is not about having empty spaces, but about admitting that they exist. Today’s society is so preoccupied about coherence that many get trapped in the misconception that all is explainable. Society tries to convince us that we have to be completely transparent, not only to the world but to ourselves. There is where the danger lies. It’s necessary to admit that some things can’t be grasped, that our empty spaces exist and that we have to respect and honor the mystery.

The empty spaces in ourselves are there because we don’t know our true Self, the Spirit and we don’t identify with it! Before Self_realization and meditation at Sahaja Yoga, I felt the sensation of having an empty space inside me most of the time and didn’t know what was that. But now I know, that empty space was filled with love, with light, with compassion and now I feel complete, fulfilled! :-)
The first step is to admit that we have an empty space inside and then fill it with love, unconditional love. Only then life becomes completely meaningful and very often blissful! ;-)
Lots of love, light and appreciation,
Carmen Larisa
They (so many) do not respect the spaces or honor the mystery… so this will always unfortunately remain a huge space for us who do…
Love, anyway, Paul
Sometimes we´re challenged with facing vacuums inside. Daring to plainly being present with them, transformation happens and gifts are revealed…
Tacit knowledge. If the centipede should explain how he is walking with his hundreds legs, it would clutter up, and he couldn’t walk anymore.
Space is of the three dimensional world. The forth dimension is the time. If we transcend the limits of our existence then everything is filled with Light. There is not such thing as ‘empty space’.. but we respect the mustery and space of others!!!
LOVE, THELMA
when i entered my universe i came to be aware of the many unnecessary things i kept there. I used to live in a kind of sloppy way so you can imagine that this clean up is not a one week or a one year’s job. And everytime when i cleaned up (throw away , give back, restore, reconsider) a part i will lay down in the best chair i can find and enjoy the emptiness the space and most of all I welcome the Sun that is able to shine a little brighter inside.
Heart, I share my experience. You´re free to take it or leave it. Your judgements are yours, my motives are different than what you´ve described twice today right after my entries.
what is your motives…
Hi Sibila Maria India,
My comments was written without reading your entries, and were comments to the main Coelho’s web text. The fact that I have entered my opinions twice today right after yours, is a coincidence. And let me tell you, after two months in Calcutta a few years back, I’m in love with India!
hello paulo,
when I first read your book, like a flowing river, it helps me a lot since I was able to apply those wisdom thoughts you give on your book. People here today in your blog are talking about the empty spaces….For the past days I have this feeling. I get exhausted at the end of the day and yet I feel I have done nothing, I feel empty. What are the reasons why this occur, and what will I do so I wont feel it again?I really dont like it whenever it comes to me.
Dear Heart,
Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate you let me know it´s a coincidence. I love India as well after having been there several times. It´s a big reason for me having taken India as part of my name last year. I miss going there but my children are too small yet for me to bring them there with me.
and dear Anica,
Obviously I misunderstood Heart´s comments after two of my entries. My motive for being part of this blog is that it´s one of my sources of inspiration and I enjoy sharing my experience about some of the questions that are asked here.
I love writing very much and that part is obviously mine for me while I write.
And I enjoy sharing what I´ve learned and this I do freely here as well as in a column I have in a Danish magazine for anyone who can use it. I believe in putting whatever talents we have in motion in the collectice flow of life for the highest good of all.
