After reading this post, I have had the story on my mind a lot. I love how it is not only a story about fate and finding acceptance in the things we cannot control. It reminds me almost of the biblical story of The Prodigal Son. How? Where some people may ask, "Why did the son, who did so much wrong, receive such a warm welcoming and acceptance from his father?" In this fable, people may ask, "Why is it that giving couple should have their main source of survival die?"

Both stories contain "lessons" or truths are not so simply put. It has always been my opinion that the story of the Prodigal Son was about forgiveness, and finding faith.

This story about the two angels reminds us again, that the point of the story isn't about the cow dying, it is about finding faith in the things that we cannot understand and trying to value what we have in life.

Sure, the family will never know why they were given such hardships but merely because this fable ends here does not mean the family will never get their own piece of happiness either. It's like the idea that just because a story ends with "Happily Ever After" doesn't mean it's entirely over.

I believe in a balance, and life has a way of bringing happy surprises when we need it most. Sometimes it's not finding the reason for why bad things happen as much as it is finding a reasons for us to move on in life.

Well that's my very two LARGE cents.

It is a very sweet and encouraging tale, well told. But there's a bit of 'wish-fulfillment' in there too... 'Everything is for a purpose, a greater good' but it isn't, is it? Not all the time anyway.

I think it's sad but also helpful to remember that life is sometimes truly hard for no good reason at all.

God work in mysterious ways ;-)

Like the say " What goes around, comes around" you may call it karma or law of attraction or whatever you want to call it.
I believe in that.
What you give is what you get, if you´re stingy that´s what you get, if you´re generous that´s what you get (the law of attraction).
I think that empathy and humbleness is something we learn through our journey here on earth.
And when we feel helpless but anyway help our neigbours .. that´s when Gods miracle shows up in the most miracoulus way.

And when we have the most dispear, that´s when we learn something and can move forward.
Before dawn ..everything looks even darker before the light comes.
Have faith and trust.

Warm love
