this is one version for interpreting the place of man in Universe, and how he is connected to it.I think is about different stages ,for each level of conscioussness.Sure we are the miniature of cosmos,we are expressing the pitch of creation.Hope I am not talking nonsense, bye bye

So, Consciencia is a Portuguese word for Consciousness, meaning a sense of one’s personal or collective identity, a special awareness or sensitivity. Scientists have investigated how the activity of nerve cells in the brain create a subjective mental life. The activity between the Neurons.

We probably ought to look for a religious understanding of this concept. Theologians have asked how, by the help of Free Will, human beings can chose right from wrong, how to make all the thousands of choices we individually are presented with each day.

A practical approaches to developing consciousness, can be seen in all the “awaken your mind” courses, where people are trained in reducing stress, improving their sleep, to relax more and to improve general mental and emotional well being.

It seems as if one the major failings of the 20th Century was falling for the Social Darwinist scam that man was no longer the “lesser god” but was actually the “great ape.” When this opinion was institutionalized, the study of consciousness and the psyche was left to die on the side of the road only taking root below the surface as fiction or the many propagations of the Theosophy movement.

The brain — no longer an instrument, no longer the mind/psyche’s transducer — became the one-man-band, the sole domain of composer, conductor and orchestra! “If you can’t measure it, it doesn’t exist.”

The Soul of the mind, with all its infinite connections of wheels within wheels, became (in the brains of “scientists”) like the appendix or tonsils. “You remember the soul, don’t you? That useless appendage that can be cut-out of our existence with nary a second thought.”

As the wise ones would say, “Ignoring or pretending that our inherent Nature is not ethereal and ever-lasting does not alter the Reality that it is!”

It is the image of God and Man. The Cosmos.
We, Adam and Eve, [you are right Fran] the Microcosmos into Macrocosmos.
Our three bodies: the Intellect, Imagination and the world of the five senses, the way we conceive the material World.[Νοητός, Ψυχικός και Υλικός Κόσμος].
Ι can see in the picture the Image of God with the Seraphin, Cherubin, Angelis, Principalis…
Our mind is not able to understand Light. The nearest to it is our..Heart and Soul..
Love,
Thelma
