My dearest Annie, it is nice you remind us of the Lotus eaters [lotophagi] of Odysseia!
Maybe it is a sign, that we should never forget our traget by ‘eating’ the sweet fruits of life or by listening to the irresistible song of the Sirens..
LOVE,
Thelma

Sushma, is it not Godess Saraswati who resides on a lotus flower?

Well in India…lotus has a special significance…One of our Goddess , Goddess Laxmi…who is The Goddess of Wealth, resides on it…So when someone offers her prayer…we need to offer her a lotus…while
this flower is picked up you learn the lesson she wants to teach you…that even to please your Goddess you need to dirty your hand(Hardships) and then only you get the beautiful flower(Wealth)!!!

So beautiful! I simply love lotuses! :-) I wish we were all like them, pure, delicate and yet strong! Did you know that lotuses don’t accept any impurities on them? Even if they grow in muddy waters, they remain pure and fresh. I loooooooooooooooooove them!
Thank you so much for the wonderful picture! You have made my day! ;-)

Lots of love,
Carmen Larisa

The symbol of divine beauty, and the opening of a soul.
Truly a beautiful flower.

imagem de sentimento desfiador e misteriosa, porém um pouco melancólica.

From the mud of the water bottom a flower such as the Lotus can grow and bloom. When I think of this it gives me strength.
