Your books are said to have changed the lives of many. What has been that one fantastic response you’ve got for your works? Any unusual fan you can recall?
Readers are always very inventive. I remember once an Indian reader sent me a letter saying that she had offered one of my books to the Ganges. I thought this was such a poetic and beautiful thing to do. I’ve never forgotten this letter.

Once a patient of mine, sat before me continuously sobbing, I was able to relieve her of her physical pain, but she was not mentally sound, dint know what to do- no amount of counselling was helping her. Somewhere she mentioned “now my reading books is also not helping me deviate my mind”, I had, “like the flowing river by my side”, I offered her that.
Few months later she met me, cheerful…”I learnt a lot from that book and i have gifted that to myself from you, forever”!
I think this was the best compliment my fav author can get…

I have known that Ganges is a sacred river! The ultimate act of love and respect for your books, Paulo Coelho, from that reader. She has put you, to the nearest place to her God. It was a ‘sacred ritual’ but with a subtle sense of humor..

I believe a Poet is what he writes. Therefore it isn’t so much a single of your books influencing me, as what you are. I admire, or more I adore your excellent, perfect language and literary skills, which is a foundation in every word you write, but most of all I’m fascinated about that man behind all the stories, the man who keeps posting all these text and video clips in his blog. That gives a meaning to my life, is worth living for…
