Two turtledoves flew down in front of Adam and Eve, one dying when it landed. The other dug a hollow place and moved the dead one into it, hence Adam and Eve did likewise to Abel's body. And to know that it was also your other son... it's sad. I'm not familiar with the paiter but why is there a shovel? I think of John Steinbek's 'East of Eden'and "Demian" by Hermann Hesse. Blake always makes the utmost to present their emotions and tragic moment. Adam is astonished and can't even move one of his fingers; Cain (the murderer) realizes what has done and has a terrific expression. All the picture is painted with two colours; yellow-red and blue to show the opposite feelings, love-hate; good -evil. Dear Mr Coelho, where do you take all this beautiful pictures?
