My dearest Annie, by saying ‘inbalance’I mean of our three bodies’s coordination, body, sentiment and mind. The harmony.

So intricate. So much at rest.
The energy of the lines.

Thank you for sharing.

Annie,
Why “poor guy” ?
If he or she is in Angel’s hand should be fortunate, or not ?

Love
Luce

P.S. It could be The Announcement to Virgin Mary, or to Shepperds !

The Angel of Van Gogh is also known as The Angel (after Rembrandt) and Van Gogh’s paint is complete as it is shown
here.

I love all the paintings of Vincent van Gogh.Imagine, in his whole life he had only sold one painting and now the prices of his works are the highest of the World.
Looking at the Angel and knowing that he was a ‘sufferer’ and a Beautiful soul, I wonder if he could really see this angel with the ‘eyes of his soul’? And I still remember the story -and film- of the ‘Beautiful Mind’. They may be able to ‘enter’ to the other dimensions and they may only ‘lack’ the ability to distinguish or have balance between their three bodies. [Just my thoughts]
LOVE,
THELMA

Thank you dear Sir for showing us this picture! I simply love Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings, especially those which are very colourful! :-)But I haven’t seen this one before, so thank you again for presenting it to us.
I find the shades of blue so comforting, so full of love, light and hope. The angel seems to be so human, the wings are almost imperceptible. It looks like anyone of us, everyday angels who work discreetly for our well-being and evolvement, spreading divine love and compassion everywhere. The angel seems very patient and humble, waiting for us to allow it in our houses and appreciate its message, the Power of God’s Love. It seems neither woman nor man, just a delicate being, an embodiment of courage, devotion, innocence, wisdom and generosity who is always helpful and kind. I simply love angels and their protective love spread on us! We should be so grateful that they exist in our lives, whether we see and appreciate them or not, they are here and do their best for our enlightment! :-)

May God bless the whole world with lots of love and helpful angels now and forever!
Namaste!

I’ve never seen this piece by Van Gogh in the media before. To me it seems he drew a face that he knew and thought of that person as an angel.

That image I copy.I see the guardian Angel in the blue, colour of the sky,of infinite ,of hope and purity. And to that is added the hallow in the colour of gold, made by light of Divinity. The Angel looks downwards,to the people he need to protect.I think.

É bastante interessante do modo pensativo com que o anjo olha para as mãos e o geito de como foram pintadas.
Um anjo muito significativo em todas as maneiras de expansão entre movimento das asas, iluminação da aura, olhar…a cor, o movimento das pinceladas….
bacana.

For me Angel is holding grains of Love and Wisdom !
Expresion of face conteplative, almost in pain, as if unsure what to do, but in same time peaceful and celestial !

So often we see coloring in paintings like here, with the warm brown, red colored angel head contrasting the cold blue in the glories and in the angel wings. For some reasons in this picture the blue almost seems warm. It is a turquoise blue. I was wondering what the angel is holding in the left hand, and think Annie’s guess, that it’s grains of sand, is a super one.

Everything happens for a reason. Today I finished reading a second book written by you. I have been touched by its simlicity and debth. Today I tried for the first time to browse through your site and read your thoughts about the island, and saw the painting of the Angel. It is amazing, if you think that I live in an island and my name is Angelos (Greek for Angel). Everything happens for a reason. Thanks!!!
